The current tutorial is outdated.
It teaches players to move, shoot and use abilities. All of which are intuitive for players who have played first person shooters before. In my opinion there needs to be a more comprehensive and detailed tutorial. You can keep the basics for players new to FPS, but there should be a guide to pinging, healing, voicelines. And within the turorial there should be optional mini-guides that give info about each specific hero, each one with a strong level of info, tailored said hero. Even if that last idea only appears in the “heroes” screen on the menu, a tutorial is meant to be a guide for new players to overwatch, not just new players to FPS in general
100% agree.
There are so many things it could push you to do before you play. A quick tutorial of each game mode would be a start.
Forcing you to play a V AI game on each map would also be an interesting way round it.
I’ve also thought you should be able to link accounts. To avoid that nonsense if you’ve created an alt account… but people probably wouldn’t want shared MMR across accounts.
Ok, and why do people have alt account? the main reasons usually is because they got banned, unless you can shed some more insight?
I would imagine the main reason the core of players is to play different heroes. Certainly a legacy reason.
Now, it depends. I play on my main. If I have a couple of sucky games in a row, but I still want to play I switch account and chill out for a bit.
There smaller bunch of streams also have alt accounts some times for challenges, but mostly to make stream sniping harder. It is why Kenzo for example rarely plays on his main account.
why would that affect stream sniping? change the setting to streamer view, add a stream delay. becasue regardless of main or alt, ur still using an account
As streamer view is only user end. All it does is hide your name on your stream, it doesn’t hide it from others in game. Sadly.
It if people don’t know it’s you in the lobby, they won’t go hunting for your stream to cheat.

im glad you never needed the use the tutorial, however new players do, and it doesnt help your cause the language you use
and that is called cheating, forcing an advantage
