So I recently hit diamond and was wondering if it was actually a big achievement? thanks in advance

Consider that only 14% of the game is in diamond to gm, so yes, it’s a good achievement, keep going :wink:

yes it is a good rank, you are now better than 80 percent of all players in OW, progression in all rankings is a good achievement,

I remember when I first hit diamond. I really felt proud of it, until I realized that it’s still trash, just like everything below.

As a personal achievement it’s good though, keep up the good work, and congratulations.

You hit top 12%, nice I guess.
But the game really starts at 3.8k +.

Yes, it is just above average. Around 30th percentile. People who throw around 12% to 17% are using ancient date.

Put it this way: I’ve been playing Competitive since Season 3 and I haven’t even hit Platinum.

Whether you’re blessed, lucky or just that good, hitting Diamond is a huge achievement. So congrats on that score.

Be ready to start seeing a lot of 3/3 comps. Since that’s what people love to abuse in that rank up untill top 500. If you hit GM you’ll be facing goats in 7 out of 10 games. Just a heads up.
