Is it normal to only gain 20 sr per win?

So today I decided to play comp because it gives more experience (cough cough lootboxes cough cough) and I didn’t really care about my rank anymore so I wouldn’t mind losing. I solo queued and played with some nice people and won 3 games. Each one I healed around 10k as Mercy (in one of them I healed 15k.) and I only got 20 sr for each game? Isn’t that a bit unfair, I mean I would have expected gaining like atleast 50 for that 15k heal game (it was a really stressful one!)
Is this normal? I don’t play comp often but I guessed I missed playing it.

Scott Mercer explained how your SR gain and loss can be affected by different factors.

Most likely, your win chance of the game was above 50% witch results in a smaller SR gain.

I played today again. 15k healing, 1k dmg boost, we won. Our team sr was lower than the other team’s, yet I still got 20 sr. Seriously? I won against the odds and yet here I am getting 20 sr per win but losing 30-40 per loss…

I doubt that your winchance it is a simple calculation like team SR ÷ enemy SR

It is more complex so we can’t judge the sr distribution solely by the difference between each team’s SR.

Its complex in the sense that nobody can figure out why it truly sucks all we know is that it does suck

If you are in Diamond and above, it isn’t performance based anymore, so its gonna be around the same amount no matter what.

Stats don’t matter anymore for ranked games under diamond. In ranks under diamond the only thing that really matters are wins and loses

It’s the other way around.

So after we get back from the holidays on January 2nd we’re going to turn off the personal performance SR adjustments for players in the Diamond skill tier and above.
