Is Overwatch community filled with just kids?

I feel like I am playing with kids all the time. Even in death-match, I see kids playing their own kids games, like two Orisa’s standing in a corner with their shields deployed to cover the corner, and they just move around in that corner like dumb.

Also when I put my headphones on, I hear kids voice.

Are there any adults playing this game? xD

While the thing with Orisa can be considered a cheese trick, you can always assume that the vocal minority is “always the worst”

Another reason could be that kids and teenagers on puberty may be less self-concious than adults which is why they hesitate less when talking via voice chat.

Then there are the adults who act like children… so no, there are no adults in this game.

I think it is save to say that its not kids itself but more like a kids mentality. With the part of not being properly raised who does not know how to act respectful vs other people.

Even when I see overwatch league like a few of the asian players acting like 8 year olds on their stream. Yelling “hurr durr it’s ON ITS ON”, spamming emotes etc like seriously lay down on the energy drinks or something <_<.

Kids exist, and they do in fact play video games. This really isn’t surprising in any way at all

I think the sad part is most of the time you’re probably not playing with kids, most people just act like it, so many tantrums and cry-babies, people picking 5 dps then crying they’re not getting enough healing.
There’s a reason they’ve had to put so much work into trying to reduce toxicity, because sad little losers go online just to be arseholes to strangers because they feel the world is to blame for them having no friends

As a teen, i can confirm there are Adult players, plenty of them.
Most of my comp teammates are adults and one was even drunk as heck when he started speaking into the mic.
He was also the reason we lost.

I have no problem by playing with kids. Its just that, I get more pleasure beating adults and playing with grown ups than kids. I have not withdrawn my post. Did I ?

dont dude i rarely meet kids

Climb and there is really rarely kids.

It’s just online gaming pvp in general.

It’s kind of why community dedicated servers are nice, you get to meet people, learn who’s an idiot and who’s a fair player, with this game it’s a game of roll the dice everymatch unless you’re in a premade, which I think Blizzard seem to believe everyone is in.

Yes !
I feel the same as you. Sometimes, in LFG I have to leave voice chan because of them ^^

It’s not like I’m better than them but most of them can be really annoying to my ears. Another reason why I don’t have children !

In fact, I see more and more 18+ LFG ^^’
So no, you’re not alone but yes, they have the right to play as much as you have to right to leave their groups (as I do)

(btw I’m 42 and feel like a ancestor even in my way-too-short friend list)

What?! Kids playing video games? Preposterous!

Haha, I have 3 years more to my name, kiddo, but I sure feel your pain. Might be tine for the grumpy old men to get organized and fight back rather than just slowly turning into Waldorf & Stadtler clones. :joy:

Soon ! Soon !

Guilds will help us gathering those kids out of our games !
(Not that like I refuse to play with calm ones ^^)

You could already do that. Create a team with 18+ limit. Do a discord with 18+ limit. You meet a adult ingame? Add that guy.

I play with a team of adults with ages ranging from about 22 to 52, I can assure you there are many adults, you only have to watch OWL to see that. OTOH, it is a game, so it is open to all and frankly kids are going to play, heck most adults started playing as kids and age into adulthood. I see it as no different than say football or basketball, people play it at any age if they can.

Never told anything alse !
It’s just that vocal with them may be a difficult experience sometimes plus it makes me remember how old I am !

I kind of get your point OP though I have friends in game who are anything other than kids I am 38 nearly and play quite late at night and as a team we have voice on in group and eventually if the other people are good in the rest of the team on team chat as well if we feel they can handle a commentary and tactical information being relayed and used so far it has been okay and effective but there are as you say kids playing or grown adults acting like children as a head set wearing player it is a really infuriating when playing solo in a team play game when you have people on voice messing about even painful for me with head phones on because I have the volume high to hear the enemy foot falls to prevent them getting too close.

Sadly as others have said it is the case that some have no manners or lack the kind of maturity to use voice communications sensibly without causing someone to be offended by the actions they take or how they speak or conduct themselves in game your not alone in this but there are nice decent adult players in the game out there just need to find them and make friends with them!

Well, it has 12+ rating, so of course it has kids. Of course not everyone is a kid, and moreover not every kid is annoying. Though you may consider their voices annoying, it’s ok as long as they talk about tactics and strive to win.

The only case when I was really annoyed was when some kid repeating nonsense lines, like “Look at my skin! It’s so cool” and spamming something like “omg I’m gonna die”, even when he was under constant healer’s care.

“when you put your headphones on” ?
how can you play without sound?
i mean, i played wow for the past 5 years without sound just fine, but in OW sound is life or death
i turned off voice chat the first day i started playing, sometimes i turn off text too, if it had a permanent option it would be always off, but cba…

btw i’m defenitely supposed to do something else with my life, too old for dis et
