Is server lag a normal experience for you?

Hi all,
Is server lag a normal experience that impacts some of your games? I’m a recently returned player.

I’ve joined games where my teammates say they’ve experiencing bad latency due to the server and zone the game is being hosted in. I myself have experienced two competitive games where I’ve been bouncing around the map and the game felt laggy.

I don’t recall a time where I was bouncing around when I used to play. Testing my own internet during these games I find I’ve got a fairly fast internet still.

Is this something that you experience often? Have you found it’s your own internet?
I’m not looking for troubleshooting help, more just seeing if this is an experience other players share.

This has been happening since the latest update. Apparently, the game no longer prioritizes your region but instead focuses on queue times. And Blizzard, in their infinite wisdom, decided that the best way to reduce wait times is to throw me—a tank player—into a ranked match with 380 ms ping , where I’m obviously going to lose because I won’t even understand what’s happening the entire game. Thanks, Blizzard. Always coming up with the greatest ideas. It’s almost like you’re trying to kill your own game.

It happens when allot of hackers are in the same game, sending packed to the server to 100% aimbot the players
