Whenever I die in game, I have spectate how I died. And if my killer has a high ult charge I let it be known, if the charge is low i dont bother, but if its 90%+ i put in team chat “X has ult”, or “X is near ult”. This to me is using what the game gives to me . However a friend of mine said its unfair to see this, and I should not report this to the team? I think I am in the right as both teams have access to this unless they turn spectate off. Which is a player decision.
In a spin-off question. Should the game hide cooldowns and charges, as to me the spectate death is to 1. view how I died. and 2. for the victim to conclude if said player is cheating in some way. I suppose when im playing with high ult charges I tend to lay back on kills and let my team do the final shot to hide my charge, save the ult for a good kill if the time comes up and let my allies accumulate ult charge.
Your friend is wrong. But if you are smart when you play, you should roughly know who has ults and what their vague charge will be anyways.
Because of the above, I’d say there is no need to hide.
The cooldowns and ults are things people should be tracking anyways. So being told it if you watch the kill cam isn’t an issue.
I think hiding it would indirectly boost sombra. As her hack would mean more for viewing ult charge. Additionally very random, but echo (a hero who duplicates every cell of a hero) should spawn with the ult of the duped hero minus say 50%, or like split the ult juice in half to account for the dupe
I think echo already generates the duplicate’s ult at 5x the normal speed.
So in theory it’s already possible to ult several times while you have the duplicate active.
At least for some heroes like tracer. I think you can get 3 pulsebombs when duplicating to a tracer. Maybe more on practice range. But i’ve gotten pulsebomb twice in a single duplicate at times.
And it’s fine to tell your team if the enemy has an ult, killcam is part of the basic gameplay unless you turn it off. It helps you learn to calculate ult charge times if you actually pay attention to it.
Yeah I can see that. Don’t think it is significant enough to make any difference.
