I just got on Overwatch and got a message were it said that ive been reported and it could lead in account closeure ect.
How do I apeal ? or is there steps I can take to apeal this ?
I believe it was actuall other toxic players who reported me as u can see from my climing ladder Im doing good.
Nothing you can do, youâll end up being suspended like me because people âreport for funâ all day long⌠this community is so terrible and toxic, best for you to quit this game, best solution.
Donât waste your time on this, there is nothing you can do about it.
If many players decide to report you, you get banned itdoesnât matter if you are guilty of something or not.
You can only appeal when you get penalized. A warning canât be appealed. Chances of succeeding an appeal are rather slim but with smart arguments, you might have a chance. The worst thing that can happen is a No so itâs worth a shot.
Here is the support page on how to appeal a penalty:
We have been over this a million times. Appeal attempts are a waste of time. Arguments you said? Blzrd doesnât work with arguments.
Recent example: Jumping of the map to regroup while someone reproted you for game sabotage? Blzrd: oh this guy is inting, get him a 2 days brake to chill out.
You claim that appeals are a waste of time. In other words, itâs no use to appeal because the assumption is that every appeal by a normal customer (not streamer) will fail. Of course, this argument has a logical fallacy, appeal to ignorance. It remains true until itâs proven otherwise by someone.
So all we need to do is show evidence that contradicts the statement. All we need to do is find a report of a successful appeal and I have it:
This reddit post provide information about one tricking by a gm. It also shows that an appeal has been approved and the penalty got lifted. To be more precise, the gm took the effort to erase an expired penalty so future penalties donât become harsher.
This is proof that appeals can be successful and that actual people investigate the issues.
So there is a chance that your appeal will be approved. Itâs not a waste of time. Itâs worth a shot.
As fatty says you have one in a million chance to get your ban lifted. It seems like game masters are mostly high school interns. But if you want to try your luck, buy a lottery ticket
Now find one where someone was unbanned for âabusive chatâ âŚ
Also, investigate is not good word. Guy might as well got benefit of a doubt, being GM and all âŚ
Sure, but you found one where the guy was banned, served his time and then ban was overturned - meaning he can now be banned one more time before perma-ban.
Anyway, someone should ask them why it says that not switching is not a game sabotage, but they still ban for it?
Also, where are the proofs that someone is not playing optimal pick? Itâs apparently a crime to not know when youâre not playing optimal pick, but you see youâre doing good so youâre not switchingâŚ
Didnât we say we donât want good Genjis forced to play other heroes? Apparently we have no problem with good Torbs/Symmetras/Meis being banned ⌠¯\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
They should state clearly in their report form that not wanting to switch is bannable offence, because it clearly is.
Thatâs actually nothing to be amazed with. CS agents are like cashiers, easily replaceable, require minimal education, and you need 1 day to train them into full time workers ⌠¯\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
Same bro I got a pop up a few weeks ago about being reported too many times. Thereâs nothing we can do. I play solo and get reported all the time by crappy premades. Itâs just a matter of time till I get banned and finally uninstall Overwatch and the blizzard launcher.
Wait, seriously??? What did the GM say why your appeal got approved?
I donât want to judge the GMâS decision. I have been on many discussions on whether this or that is reportable so hearing what was considered not justified would be valuable information.
They donât ban them for one-tricking. They ban them for grieving. As the GM stated, there is a thin line and it is difficult to differentiate between a one trick who tries their best and a thrower. Sometimes, they need to judge it based on the number of reports.
Anyways, an approved appeal is definitely improbable, no doubt about it. However, it is not impossible so trying to appeal is worth it. It costs nothing and you only get a no in the worst case. Maybe you are lucky and your appeal will be approved but likely not. Just expect the worst and hope for the best.
