I am constantly losing connection to the servers for about 5 seconds and then it would automatically reconnect to the server after that. It’s become a big issue for me because when playing comp, something like this has caused me to lose about 100sr due to the fact that its happening more often. Blizzard, please look into this, I dont want to keep losing my sr thats so hard to earn already
Are you getting randomly booted to the login screen seeing the “Failed to connect or connection lost” message and then it will instantly reconnect you to the game? If so, I feel your pain. I have no internet issues, nothing else is effected - discord, other games, etc. JUST Overwatch. Biggest issue is getting booted in the first 1 minute of a comp. match and getting screwed out of SR and a 10 min wait. I’m at a loss as to what to do, it’s NOT my internet, i’ve checked my modem and there’s no timeouts or issues.

can you please download WinMTR and run it according to these instructions. Post the statistic here and we’ll have a look. Also make sure to have a look at these troubleshooting steps.

This has happened to me 2 times this week, only on competitive. Also has happened to the opposite team. It´s not fair, I just lost like 100SR. Rather play fornite, never gets disconnected from the server.

well, I know is not on my end since every other online game work without any problem, last week I tried those steps though. Why this happen only in competitive? why only in overwatch?
This game is already very toxic and frustrating , this issues makes it even a worst pain to play.
Even if you’re sure the issue is not on your end, we do need to check some connection diagnostics.
At the moment we aren’t aware of any general issue, but that doesn’t mean that it’s impossible that there’s one. But we do need to check the diagnostics; we need that information to escalate the case to our technical team if that’s needed.
What we ideally need:

- Date/time it started:
- City/Country:
- Internet Provider:
- Traceroute (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
- Pathping (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
- WinMTR (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)

i’m also having this problem, i’d open overwatch and search for a game (happens with any game mode) and 10-30 seconds later it would send me to the login screen with lost connection to game server. this only started happening to me today and i know for a fact it is not on my end. i don’t have any trouble with lag and never have. I’ve tried 2 different routers, I’ve reset my computer more then twice, I’ve uninstalled to game and reinstalled it (to try) i even tried the WinMTR diagnostics test you’s said to do. i pray you fix this the next time it goes into maintenance cause it’s just ridiculous.
Please, read my previous message. We do need the data I asked for so we can investigate.
Keep in mind that WinMTR is not a tool to fix connection issues, but is a diagnostic tool. We need to check the results to see where the problem is.
