Why isnt keyboard and mouse already on console? I also dont understand why console cant have keyboard and mouse but PC players can have controller? Add keyboard and mouse to console!!
Because a lot of console players don’t want to sit at the table (or even don’t have the opportunity).
It would be perfect to get aim assist system as in CoD games but this never happen

The answer is easy.
Because mouse and keyboard give a huge advantage over controller players. If they allow mouse and keyboard for consoles then said players should be moved to the pc plyer pool so they dont roflstomp every single console player wich do not have mouse and keyboard

Matching Making should be on input device like Call of Duty, I think that’s how they do it.

it’s because mkb gives a huge advantage over a controller, especially if you also have aim assist from playing in console pools. if mkb players on console were put into the pc pool it could work
Probably because it gives players an unfair advantage against those who use controllers? If a player wants the option to use an input device that is harder to aim with (i.e. a PC player choosing to use controller), that’s fine since it puts them at a voluntary disadvantage. But it doesn’t go the other way since a console player choosing to use M+KB puts everyone else at a disadvantage.
Ximming is already a super bad problem on console in Diamond and above. This is the use of illegal mouse and keyboard extensions on console that not only lets one play with M+KB on console, but tricks the software into thinking you’re still using a controller, and thus giving you the console aim assist options. It is considered cheating and people have been banned for it, but in general it’s difficult to detect on Blizzard’s end.
Both PS and Xbox actually have native mouse and keyboard support, but Overwatch as a game does not allow it on the console version of the game. I think it would be cool if console OW actually did support native mouse and keyboard on console, and would sort matchmaking based on input device (controller or mouse pools) instead of by platform like it does now (console or PC pool). I feel like this would give people more options for how the like to enjoy the game, and make it more accessible and fair. (Ximming would still be a problem in controller pool, and it would need further scrutiny and detection tools).
