Kicked from match

I was kicked from a match by a network issue and now i am suspended from play for 18 minutes. Since when has getting kicked counted towards leaving a match?

The system can’t know if you purposefully turned your router off or if it was a dc you had nothing to do with.

If you leave a match, you leave a match.

Nah the game glitched and kicked me also that is the first time I’ve left a match so how is 18 mins fair for that

I’ve had issues where I’m fully connected to various items on the PC to the internet, yet BattleNet goes into a spaz while I’m mid match.

Due to a bodge job by the developers at Blizzard, they’ve made it so that you can only be on a server if BattleNet is up and connected. I’ve had an abandon served due to that .

However, if I was playing CS on Steam and Steam went down, the match would continue. The difference in quality speaks.

Last 3 weeks my provider had issues due to some system repairs to be able to handle blackouts - those were just 5-15 sec drops each 10-40 mins but Overwatch couldn’t handle it and kicked me from a game/battlenet so i literally sit like this

30 mins ban > playing 1 game fine > lost connection midmatch no reconnect >another 30 min ban

All other applications, zoom calls, steam games and my work software could handle it fine not dropping me out but “advanced” OW client couldn’t…

thats what happened to me!!!
