Leaver penalty due to DC

Can you, please, please, please disable the leaver penalty until you fix your servers Blizzard.

Was absolutely vibing in a competitive game, got thrown out due to an [unexpected server error] (the person who I was duo’ing with wasn’t DC’d) and I got a leaver penalty.

We use the same ISP, live 100m away from eachother and have the same package, the disconnects are so extremely random that I don’t want to play the game anymore. Great first week launch experience!

Either disable competitive until you sort this mess out or remove the leaver penalty because this is absolute bullcrap.

EDIT: For anyone that gets disconnected, changing your region to Asia/America if you are playing in Europe automatically logs you in upon disconnecting.

and that’s why I am not doing any competitive until they fix the disconnections.
Honestly they should have disabled competitive themselves, to avoid this.

Honestly, I am quite enjoying people getting random penalties for things out of their control. Always seems to happen to the people who complain most too… Brilliant stuff.

But, don’t get me wrong I totally agree. I was surprised to see ranked from the start. I’d of given it a week first… even without server issues.

yeah, you are right, a few weeks of “learn how to play this new game” and then activate competitive mode! :smiley:

Exactly, and that is why I think in the long run, having the new hero banned from ranked and in the BP is a good idea.

Earn it, learn it, then go.

This is why I haven’t started comp yet. Gonna wait to servers are more stable.
I waited 1 hour before I got in to the game “Literally now” and I did 1 game. Then “Server error” and back to que.
Not worth even consider doing comp yet I feel with so much issues ow2 have right now.

I honestly do not understand how you can act like such an ass in most of these threads.

It’s obvious people are upset about the state of OWII, and you’re happy that people are having a terrible experience due to things out of their control?

I am happy to see the people who complain in game get booted and banned. It is quite funny.

I’ve never been banned, it is easy to avoid it.

Also, the “state” of OW2… The game is fine (bar a few tweaks here any there). The servers aren’t. The servers aren’t the game. You can split these 2 things and have different views.

Luckily, you can laugh at leavers, because match result doesn’t really impact where you place, or how you progress up or down.

I have a stupid question for you all, if we all know servers have problems… so why are you all playing comp and not wait for servers to be fixed first?
