Why are you not doing anything to punish the players that are constantly leaving games as soon as they think that they will lose? It completely destroys the game. Temp ban them for one hour everytime they leave or something, this has got to stop!

If they are constantly leaving they will be getting longer and longer punishments (assuming ranked). I think it is 3/4 times and they are banned for the season.
They have explained many times why the incremental timed suspensions are used, and it is relatively fair for the reasons they gave.
It’s obviously not enough since it keeps happening almost every game, but I’m not talking about Competitive, I mainly play Quick Play. I left Competitive a long time ago, it’s too toxic.
And? What’s that got to do with the punishments?
The start low because most leavers are actually deliberate.
People who deliberately leave games will do so more often and get longer suspensions.
But a time suspension doesn’t stop you playing, you just swap accounts.
So in the end, it just isn’t worth getting overly bothered about. Report them if you must, but once the match is over move on and go again. If it’s annoyed you too much stop playing (as playing tilted will just lead you to soft throwing games).
It’s not good for the health of the game for management to let leaver ruin gamer for other players. This will just result in more people quitting and what’s left behind? Only the leavers who stop playing the instant they play with eachother.
Your attitude of “it doesn’t matter, they just get another account” really isn’t helping anyone. Is your attitude towards cheaters the same?

They don’t, that is why the give them a punishment. Even when if the leaver isn’t deliberate (dc, powercut, and so on).
But the time suspensions don’t make a lot of difference. For example, you ban me… great. I will just go on my other 2 accounts if I really want to play.
