Let’s let Rein cancel his charge, like D.va can stop flying. He’s not op, he can get some buffs.

I klicked this topic ready to say NO WE ALREADY HAVE ENOUGH CHANGES, but actually… that makes sence. Why not let him cancel it? it would add a lot more mobility to him and make him a bit more technical and fun to play.

This must be sarcasm. Already the best tank in the game who definitely needs some buffs. haha, you almost got me there.

It’s not. He is a great tank, but this buff won’t make him must have or OP.
Don’t think my boy needs any buffs, seems to be in a pretty good place now, however this seems like a minor quality of life change that I certainly wouldn’t complain about. Like you won’t pin-kill someone if you cancel it, so you can’t really use it for quick risk free kills.
Minor quality of life, are you serious? Imagine trying to charge someone, missing, stopping your charge and starting to hammer them right away. Minor, oh yes, so minor, haha
Charge stopping would probably be bad, but Rein really needs something that doesn’t immediately make him OP. Rein moves so slow and with his shield up it’s more of a crawl. The enemy team just targets all the CC at him and he is flying around once again.
I don’t want a damage or a skill buff, probably the best course would be to give him some passive CC resistance.
Because why not. I mean its not like he can stop most CC abilities by simply looking at them and pressing right mouse button, right? He definitely needs more.

And there are plenty of abilities that go right through the shield.
I agree that immunity would be bad, but at least a reduction.
I guess… I imagine it would be the same animation as the charge running out naturaly though, gives people some chance to get out of harms way. Also the charge boops people back if it doesn’t pin them
CC is now weaker than it used to be, so I think Reinhardt doesn’t need a buff since he just got plenty of indirect buffs with Brigitte and Doomfist getting alot of nerfs to their CC abilities.
I say we wait for the changes and see what happens.

I played Rein lately. Last season I think. Easy gold medals and play of the game for such a broken hero.
Let’s buff the most played hero… sure.
Rein is my most played hero I think and I don’t think it’s a good idea to give him the ability to cancel his charge. It’s part of the kit. You pretty much oneshot with his charge, it should be a risky move.
Now I would very much like other heroes to be held to the same standard though, but I feel that it’s going in the opposite direction.
This will imbalance the game quite a bit a rein that can cancel his charge will allow him to interrupt any ult at any time without repercussions of him dying.
So no this would be a bad idea. He’s already the strongest tank in the game.
At least don’t forget this idea, and if Rein will has to get buffed once, give him this.
Perhaps, but to me I would buff something else. The idea of him canceling his charge is cool, but I don’t think it’s as practical as something else. It’s just my opinion :^P
Remember that when you give something to a hero, you need to also take something away in order to retain balance. I quite like that Reinhardt has relatively slow abilities and an all or nothing charge. It defines his kit as being about making slower, but more dramatic decisions.
I would look to giving him CC resistance and presence within the area that he is in. I’ve said this many times but I want Reinhardt to be a PRESENCE upon the battlefield, one who everyone around him has to respect.
As people here are saying though, Reinhardt is the best tank, so you can’t be too crazy with buffing him. I think the real issue is that the game simply lacks heroes like him. More Reinhardt like heroes would be good.

Indeed, more frontline main tanks are needed. Orisa and Reinhardt are great, but we want more same as dps players who have 17 options to choose from while main tanks only offer 3. Even Winston can be picked as a frontline tank for none dive comps…
If only they worked on a main tank instead of giving us Wrecking Ball, the hero is fun for sure but we desperately need more options other than Reinhardt and Orisa.
