I tend to play tank a lot in comp. I also have a chunk of my playtime on Rein because of this, but still find trouble climbing with the guy.
I’m looking for simple tips and advice.

Go to youtube. Your overwatch is pretty good. Also look for Muma’s channel and other pro tank players
Use the fact that you are faster when your shield is down to back up.
Shield down, jump backwards, shield back up, walk back, shield down…
With the right mouse button you can look behind walls when your shield is up.
Don’t be scared to take some body damage, when you can and can’t do this is something that you learn over time but against most teams this just helps your healers build ult charge.
As a Reinhardt you should be the person who initiates a push, though be careful that they don’t have the capability to one shot you when you charge through.
Against an opposing rein always try to get some free hits in.
Always hold corners and choke points.
When defending never charge the enemy team before expressly telling your team, this is rarely a good idea but when it is make sure to notify your teammates.
If a teammate pushed past you and you still want to defend them from damage then you can squeeze out some more range by turning your shield. This only works when they are backing up.
When against an enemy Rein who you suspect has his ultimate, try to bait him by putting down your shield and pulling it up again.
Consequently don’t fall for this yourself.
If a Reinhardt does the above you can use your ultimate when his shield is up and you suspect that he is going to bait you (this is something that you feel or not depending on the opponent).
Never hold a choke alone, you can’t win against two players or more.
Never try to bait out an ice wall, let a D.va or winston do that.
And that’s about all that came to my map, there are certain places to hold on certain maps but I can’t exactly write them all down.
Look for xQc’s channel instead he is arguably one of the top reins.
To be honest, you are already so high up with your rank, that the best way to improve will be to record a game and ask a coach to re-watch it together with you. This way you can get a lot more specific advice for your playstyle. At least, that’s what helped me. I can recommend a Discord, where (normal high-rank) players act as free-of-charge coaches. As they do this as a hobby, it may take a few days until a coach is available, though. Discord address is h ttps://discord.gg/cxCkQW (remove space between h and t)
An error that I see enemy reins make is : they don’t take the space by being overly aggressive, when they have the resources to do so. It’s a footsie game of map geometry, space creation and ult charging.
You have to understand, and make yours, the flow of the frontline to get the upper hand.
Also you have to be playing with your Zarya and Lucio.
I have won so much games calling out the speedboost and just W, wrecking the unreactive enemy team
Find an off tank you gel with and duo-queue with them (Zarya and D.Va both work). Ana also helps. Being a main tank means you have to trust the other people in your team, which can be hard in a group of randos.
Likewise, manage your aggression. When you charge, don’t think about the target, think about where you’d hit the wall - what are the angles like for the opponent? Could they disrupt you? Counter-charge you? Kill you? Where is your team? Can your off-tank bail you out to get you back into position (D.Va is better at that than Zarya who only gives you 200 HP whereas D.Va gives you up to 2 seconds plus disrupting the enemies aim)? Or can your team even fully engage off of that charge?
You have to either trust your team or communicate with them if you want to make it work.
Idk if you still need advice on this, but if you do I suggest sending a vod
how do i do that again?
You record yourself with something like Obs or hadowplay, or even stream yoru gameplay. Then either provide the link to the stream/ upload your vod to youtube and provide the link.
