So this morning i wake up,get on my PC, click que ranked after two minutes i get matched for map Horizon. It begins loading, and i get forever stuck in loading screen. Music doesnt stop, loading thingy in the corner keeps moving,i can turn on ESC options, game running as normal aswell as my PC but loading just isnt going anywhere untill it kicked me out for inactivity, im punished 50 SR for NOTHING and cant do ranked for ten minutes. 10 minutes not a big deal, but 50 SR is a lot for me and i work to get it, now i have to lose it for nothing? What the hell? It has never happened before, i’ve been playing game for more or less an year. Any help? Please? Why would you punish so much for leaving a game that has not even started? Not like it ruins game for anyone, just que up again, noone loses SR or anything. Any chance of getting this adressed? Thank you.

Being stuck on the loading screen is usually caused by either a connection issue (can’t properly connect to the game server), or a performance issue (can’t properly load all map/character assets). I’d suggest going through these two support articles and trying out the steps listed there, including the advanced ones:

Should you be playing on either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, then I’d recommend having a look at this forum post instead.

Same thing just happened to me, first game 4 players disconnected so i didn’t lose any points then the next game i get disconnected before the game has even started and lose 100 sr. Customer say im lying and its an issue on my end.
The thing is that at the moment we aren’t aware of any issues on our server (and this is something we actively monitor). That doesn’t mean that it’s your fault, there might be something going wrong at some point of the path your connection takes to our server.
If nothing in this article helps, could you please post the following data so we can take a look?
- Traceroute (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
- Pathping (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
- WinMTR (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)

Yesterday i got in queue with my buddy, found game, the search bar disappeared, nothing more happens for me. My buddy was ingame i was stuck in searching game screen. Then chat info, failed to connect to server. Game my buddy was in gets canceled, I lose 50 sr 10 min ban. And funny thing just now, almost same thing. This time however i got the rejoin match button, to no avail of course. And i was able to hear the voice chat of my team and read and write in chat. I closed the game so that the game gets canceled and not the whole team gets punished, for me -50sr 10min ban. Every season i have 1 or 2 games that do that to me, awesome to fight your way up in ladder just to be thrown down again via this s***.
Competitive games get automatically cancelled whenever someone leaves right at the beginning or is unable to connect to the game. The person that doesn’t get into the game gets a leaver’s penalty.

I just had the same issue.
Date/time it started: 12:30, 23.05.18
City/Country: Munich/Germany
Internet Provider: Mnet
I went into ranked. I alt+tab out do something else, as I have done hundreds of times before with no ill effects, until the audio que comes. I go back in and am greeted with a very lone loading screen. But the weird thing was I could chat with my team and was after about a minute kicked for inactivity. I got to a blank start screen with only the chat working. As I alt+tap out and close the game I had to do for two instances one in the taskbar and one in the task manager.
I just wanted to let you know this bug … maybe if it is one. I’m fairly certain it wasn’t a connection issue, because I could chat with my team and I had chrome running in the background. But unfortunately I only saw the Traceroute Pathing WinMTR post after I restarted.
Also I’d love if you maybe lift the penalty, but I think I have a clean record anyway and 50sr is no big deal. So I wouldn’t be mad if you said you can’t find any prove that I wasn’t just afk.
Oh and I tested it in the arcade. I load in normally now.
As Pachimari said, whenever the game kicks you out for inactivity when loading a game, it’s usually due to either a connection or a performance issue (as in the game can’t load fast enough, so you get kicked out). For now we haven’t found evidence that could suggest that it’s a bug with the game.
If it happens again to you, please follow the instructions along the thread and we’ll try to help you as much as we can!
Unfortunately, I’m afraid we can’t modify SR or overturn competitive penalties under any circumstance.

Same thing has been happening to me. BS
Just queued a competitive game today, and then I received a “Your rendering device was lost. Closing app” or something like that error. The game didn’t get closed, though, but I couldn’t do anything with it, so I alt+f4’d, and when I started it back, I got -50 SR and a 10 minute suspension. Never happened before. Is it possible to revert this?
