So I was playing Quickplay just now and got matched in a team with a max level (Or at least i think he was *plat/gold border with all stars and lvl 100) Myself I am level 370 or something bronze border.
Anyway before the match even starts he asks me to please leave.
I said Noo Why? to which he replied because you are bad at bastion. He could’ve asked me to switch heroes but no he wanted me to just quit and leave the game before it had even begun.
1 How can a max level player with hundreds of hours on multiple heroes be that petty and not have gotten banned yet?
2 Why is the matchmaker matching me, a casual bronze border player with a tryhard maxlevel person to begin with.
Obviously I didn’t leave because I think he should’ve been the one to leave.
Probably have to be really obsessed with the game to reach that level anyway.
Don’t worry, he’s probably really bad if he’s still in low ranks after so many level, just mute him, report him and move on.
Levels =/= Skill

There’s no such thing as “Tryhard” in QuickPlay. Its QP, no one cares about QP. Tryhards are in comp.
As for the “why am i queued with him” part… there’s a “matchmaking” system for quickplay, you get thrown in games that have equal or close to skill level. So even if he’s level 2400+ he is just as skilled (or under-skilled) as you.
Nothing to worry about.
The community is toxic, everyone is… we all done or said toxic things at one point, you can just ignore it and move on. I myself have disabled team and match chat to avoid toxicity from others, and from myself as response to theirs.
Just play and enjoy the game. Win or lose, it doesn’t matter - it’s just a game, long as you have fun it’s alright.
I get called tryhard in qp…
I don’t know why, maybe bc I’m not throwing and actually try to do my job.
But I also enjoy qp more, you get good games and bad games.
In comp: bad games are heavy, in qp: i can move on.
Also in qp you have players literally relaxing and chilling, which means easy kills.
In comp everyone’s so pushed and focused…
Since I play the game also for the enjoyment (which I sadly don’t enjoy by playing requested roles most of the time) but also to win, qp is the best gamemode for me.
Playing with 4-6 dps against 4-6 dps.
Always a pleasure to have good tanks and supports.
In comp, if you don’t have them, the match is garbage. Most of the time.

I am not going to lie, this is just dumb. (no offence to the player but about this situation)
Epecially if its QuickPlay. I mean people can care about winning there as well and can “tryhard” even in this mode.
But other people (maybe even you) play this to get better at a hero, just for fun or because they have no time for comp.
Because your (hidden) MR gets added to the MR from every other player from your team and then devided by 6. Same with the enemies. And if your TeamSR is nearly equal to the SR of the enemies, then you get matched.
Which means, hey! You are as good as a person who has like 10 times more time in the game then you!
