Matchmaking is the worst aspect of this dying game

I agree the matchmaker needs to be improved, but also a lot of “good players” in your lobby may be worse than you think.
Jayne used to talk about how the most fun games he played were mixed rank games with random players in his community. I take this to mean attitude and mutual respect has as much of an impact as the matchmaker.
Of course you can’t force your teammates to be respectful. Some games aren’t winnable. Mute, block, leave VC, or do what you got to do to reduce toxic comms and move on.

they should extend the time on people who get silenced. people should also get silenced more quicker because the many times i reply toxic as well is because i myself am being provoked.

← honestly do not care if i get silenced as well.

This, I agree with.

Don’t agree with being toxic back, but you will do what you must.

yesterday had a game on gibraltar attacking side and enemy team was just not letting anybody through, no matter what we tried - we moved the payload only for like 10 meters.
at the end of the match they said " was too ez, were you even trying?" ( ofc got their report) and after that 3 people wrote the same word in foreign language - so i assumed ah, that’s another 3-4 stack… and we all were solo players
so yeah with each day this game feels more and more terrible

I had a bad game yesterday. But that mostly came down to my team never actually teaming up and continuously trickling through the main route one by one.

I kept pinging a flanking route and telling them to group up with me to bypass the entire enemy team and either backcap or to flank attack the enemy.
But everyone just kept trickling into the killbox despite that and a single support in the backline would have been killed in an instant without a good distraction happening at the same time.

So what else is there to do than to continue trying to point out a possible solution while attempting to keep the team alive…

4 games in a row with people leaving…

Really fun 3/4 vs 5 experince - very frustrating to try to recover form that.

Yeah it sucks.
Best not to focus on it, or you’ll just become overly jaded and bitter.

Remember it was probably just people dc’ing. It wasn’t malicious and it could easily have been you.

(Also, stack, limits the potential risk and impact)

Stacks gaming the system again. The systen being match making, avoiding rolls/hard-matches by one taking it for the team and leaving.

Oh btw that means you get a Priority Q, which is one of the worst things, as the system will not give you an equal match, but one as fast as possible. Stacks are c4nc3r.

If the enemy has a stack, your team should have a stack of the same size if things are working like the devs want them to.
The stacks should also be playing the same roles on both teams as well as be matched relatively closed in mmr.

But this is valid only as long as the system is working as intended.

Interestingly I watched an interview with their match making guy earlier. In it he said in most ranks, win rates are lower in stacks than for solo players.

Also said that forced results are not a thing and lots of talk about why high ranks have slightly wider ranges in their lobbies occasionally. Quite interesting chat.

Do you have the video for this? Source please.

Indeed.

Bookmarked nicely at the part about forced 50/50.

I’ve been quite lucky the past few days. But it is a very annoying issue. I’m surprised that Blizzard haven’t looked at fixing this problem yet.

Just keep reporting the problem whenever it occurs, hopefully they’ll review the feedback.

Doesnt address the issue I mentioned. Statistics are always easy to throw around and bend to your argument.

A RL example, I do, amongs many things, test drives with cars and occasionally planes (bcs im the idio* with the license), you know how many times everything fails? 90% of the time. In the end the product is sanctioned to work 100% of the time, thats statistics for you. DO NOT come to me with statistics.

Also I never said stacks are for the WIN, quite the opposite. I said, they see “oh we getting rolled, one of us leave” avoid MM cheat. The match maker is the culprit. AND as a solo I dont want to be thrown into “WIDE” games, diamond to silver stacks, go have your fun… pls, pretty pls, but without me pls.

I am not. I am merely passing on what was stated in the interview.

In the mid ranks, win rates are high for solo queue players than they are stacks. That is all they said, and I found it curious.

So everyone has a single account as well, right? I have 2 extra which I played up to the rank requirement and never touched afterwards. As a safeguard for being banned or something. I dont think im the smartest person in the room tbh. OFC ppl abuse this in ways way malicious than me. Then its used in stacks, to avoid certain loss games.

This is what I say by statistics, you can throw those in the bin right away. I cant think of them not being aware of this, and from your formulation of sentences I dont think you are unintelligent either.

So if we want to have a more enjoyable experience for all we need to acknowledge the elephant in the room, to have a fruitful discussion.

Yeah. That malicious behaviour happens…

But it was merely a throw away statement they made that piqued my interest. Nothing deeper than that.

But it is an interesting interview. Should end the “forced 50/50” nonsense, but inevitably people will find a way to still believe that one.

Understandable. Im not on the 50/50 ship. So whats your opinion or insight, then?

on 50/50?

It is a ridiculous conspiracy with no real legs. But people need something to blame for losing, rather than taking personal responsibility. Been the same for years, people made the same claims in Halo, and SC2.

I didnt mean the 50/50, and you know it.

Anyway I havent done interrogation since… since the times. And Im sry if I made you feel unconfortable, my apologies. We are here for fun, I was just curious about your view.
