Matchmaking quality

Game after game me and my premade play with people who have no idea what they are doing. Playing in upper gold/lower plat, for the 3rd season now and matchmaking has never been this bad.

Why am I queueing with a low silver that “hasn’t played in months?” whilst also being in the same lobby as a mid plat? Games are won or lost based on matchmaking coinflip. Dogwater game.

It’s just broken. (same with WoW). But they are working on it. So we can only wait and see if there will be improvements.

Blizz ain’t working on s***!

This is the new way to attract players to your game.
Look at how many things in OW2 that Blizz copied from Apex.
And both games have the same “problem”, bad matchmaking, where low-skilled players get matched with Masters, over and over.

Understand that this is a business concept, where low-skilled players are just resources for feeding the meatgrinder. Because without the possibility to smurf and bully other players beyond any sense, there wouldn’t be a fraction of the streamers and high-skilled players in the game. They would all leave to go bully players in some other game.

I believe, that these are the players spending most money in-game too. So go figure…

And you know that how ? Are you sitting in blizzard office ?

You are comparing apple with oranges .one is objective based game while other is battle royale.come up with better logic.

I have to disagree with you. - No hard feelings.

Probably because of your MMR.

For wow, they are working 20 years and no result.

Yep, they’ve destroyed WOW with the Ret buffs. They’re insane…

Tell me, I give up. Played Destro and did not stand a chance in the arena. Same here as Kiriko, Soj, and Ramatra. But nothing is as broken as HS battlegrounds. Yesterday I tried them for the first time and got Rogue Scabbs. Well on turn 6 the game was over for the other 7 players since I got every turn gold buddy and minion from the upper tier. I send them a video link to show them that this is beyond broken and unintended.,

Yep, Blizzard aren’t really capable of balancing games anymore, they just make them worse.

I don’t remember OW1 getting this many matchmaking issues.
Give me that game back any time.

I second this!

OW2 doesn’t have that many either. The issue is people not playing enough in high ranks on 1 account, so their visible rank doesn’t match what their actual rank is. So someone showing D3 is actually closer to GM and thus matched in GM lobbies, but when they have a bad game, everyone looks and goes “ooo diamond, his fault, matchmaker bad”.

Then just scale that down dramatically as you hit the middle of the bell curve in gold/plat, where it rarely happens because there are so many people.

Given the amount of posts on the forums regarding matchmaking, and the developer comms on Overwatch 2… this suggests it is has a lot of issues.

That is just one single issue that you have detailed there, that is no way representative of all player observations and interpretations, and also not representative of all of the dev comms to do with matchmaking.

Suggests, but when you read them, they all circle around the same issue explained above.

As the devs have said previously if your not happy with the matchmaking just create a new account and this will improve. Generally cycling a few accounts will give you the best outcome just change from week to week

Did they actually recommend that? - have you a source for this, I really doubt they would of said that!

Thanks Miktercastus

I highly doubt they’d say something like that…

There was an issue where they weren’t matchmaking based on the queue (tank/support/dps) which was causing a disparity between skills on the queues… this has nothing to do with the single issue you have detailed below:

Get your statements right…

Were
Not now. So totally irrelevant to what happens now.

My comment that you responded to was about all the issues that were raised by players, and comm’d by devs.

So totally relevant to the topic of this conversation.
