Mei Animated Short Observation

So if you take a watch at Mei’s animated short once more, you’ll noticed in part of a scene that the far left capsules malfunction and that the far right is meis. (total of 5 capsules) shortly after, it views all five capsules that malfuctioned… is this done purposely? or possibly a misshap that Blizzard failed to cover brush over and clean up? I would place screen shots and/or links, but at work, and not sure if it be ok to post haha… What do you all think? Moderators of Blizzard? care to chime in?

If we assume that this was intentional, then the only plausible reason for that is that mei’s capsule was malfunctioning, too. It might be possible that she was supposed to be waken up sooner or later.

A sudden awakening would be considered a malfunction since the capsule wasn’t working as intended.

I haven’t rewatched the cinematic though so something could contradict my assumption.

Sorry to burst the sense of discovery , but there’s six capsules total.

In the overhead shot you mention with five capsules (including Mei’s on the right) there’s another out of shot below the camera angle.

The five malfunctioning pods are named: Adams, Macready, Opara, Torres and Arrhenius; other Eco Point staff members.

This is backed up in the short by the screen showing that Mei’s pod is the one to be awoken: pod six; and the overwatch wiki on gamepedia which lists the six total staff members including Mei.
