In this fast paced game of OW2 mercy needs a buff. As someone who’s played mercy for a long time she’s pretty much lost her place in this game. Her kit pretty much sucks now in high elo, and if you can aim (well you don’t really need to with these new projectile sizes) she sucks even more. In this meta she needs more survivability. I feel like people who hate mercy seem to shout the loudest, they hate anything fem or cute. But there is a reason she isn’t played in scrims or competitively.
People are still saying she’s op in this season, what ever they’re having i’d like some too.
The problem is that people hate the rez as an ability, and they hate it when enemies are damage boost pocketed. On top of this they expect to be pocketed and then say mercy gameplay is “no brains” because you just stand behind a wall and pocket.
For the record, i only played her like that in the first months i played, but i had already shed that before megarez was removed.
In my opinion rez can be an ability to keep, but it needs to be reworked somewhat to not reward standing still and pocketing the whole game. The pocket playstyle needs to be mostly abolished, or at least buff the active playstyle to get similar value out of.

You shouldn’t be allowed to repeatedly rez the dps that you’re passively pocketing.
Either the the time to rez the same person in a row doubles the cast time or something else. That way you wouldn’t be able to just keep rezzing the tank repeatedly for maximum value either.
Another way is that she’d either need to score an elimination to activate the cooldown, or do enough healing to reset the cooldown.
There’s always the option to replace it with something, but that opens a whole new can of worms.
(I feel that she needs a +5hps to get her heals to 60 points, but i’m biased)
