Micro stuttering w/ 2080 Ti

I’m experiencing micro stutters with a brand new 2080 Ti. My FPS are capped at 144, so I doubt that’s an issue.

I’ve done the following, to no avail-

  • Toggling GSYNC
  • Toggling VSync
  • Experimented with NVIDIA GeForce Experience being open and not
  • Turned off “Fullscreen Optimization” in Overwatch.exe compatibility mode
  • All software and hardware are up to date
  • Fresh install of Windows 10
  • Increased frame cap from 144 to 300 to give a buffer
  • Disabled everything associated with the XBox stuff
  • Custom game with Ctrl +Shift + N to see where there’s orange spikes; they happen occasionally. My SIM will sit at around 6.5, but then it will spike when spectating in a death cam, or just randomly. I’m not sure what to think about this.

Additionally, I uninstalled and reinstalled my GPU drivers. As mentioned all drivers are up to date - perhaps I need a more stable GPU version?

Hell, I even bought a new monitor because the one I was using didn’t have GSYNC compatibility.

To my knowledge, I am not overclocking anything. My latency is sitting around 40-50 ms, occasionally going to 60+, which is where I notice a stutter, as well; sometimes it will go above 100-200+ and I obviously am just lagging as a whole. That’s not the issue, as the micro stutters happen when without lag spikes.

All the hardware benchmarks well above expectations (with the exception of one of my M.2 slots, but the game isn’t stored on it).

GPU: EVGA 2080 Ti
Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z390-A
RAM: 16 GB

This is a brand new rig and Overwatch hasn’t cooperated since day one, when my old build with a Radeon 390 GPU / i5(?) never gave me trouble. I’m at the end of my rope.

Getting the same micro stutters with 1060. They usually start at random points in game and last until I restart the game (or the pc?). Started after one of the last patches.

There’s some large thread on the US forum about it.

I think it started with sigma patch. Evry game where theres a sigma i get micro stuttering my PC can handle stable 300FPS but i noticed when sigma uses abilites i sometimes freeze for few seconds.
