Level 25 is far too low. It allows easier access for smurfs and easier access for players who don’t really have a clue. You don’t have the game sense to play Competitive at level 25 and anybody who plays competitive at level 25 is almost always dead weight.
half the people over 100 still have no clue xD
but i feel you…
The problem is, you are right and wrong.
Level is NO indication of skill or ability. It’s merely the amount of time you have played. It’s a common misconception that a small minority of high rank players confuse with skill.
1000 hours experience is worthless if you keep repeating the first 10.
No, there is so much wrong with what you just said.
agreed ,i have almost 200h played on mccree and my aim is still between mediocre and trash
and i feel like the only reason i get kills with him is because my game sense is better and that what’s really hours played is about , you do become smarter ,but it’s doesnt mean your mechanical skill is improving
i feel like my aim becoming worse and worse with each day so yeah lel
op : i agree with the level cap increased ,and i think they should put it even at 30-40
not because new players, but because of smurfs
I completely agree. I played competitive as soon as I hit the minimum level required and did pretty badly. They should make it at least level 50.
it takes roughly 15 hours to get to level 25
anything you didn’t learn in 15 hrs you wont learn in 20 or 25, so what’s the point of demanding a higher level?
and it’s not like someone with level 25 can’t have more time on a hero than someone with 350 levels
This might make it harder on some smurfs but thats about it.
Adding even 50 levels to the minimum won’t change a thing about how new players learn the game. In general you can be level 1000+ but if you only play’d the easier heroes and you didn’t even care to watch some overwatch youtube videos then improving won’t come for sure.
good thing this game is more then just aim
so, don’t feel bad about it maybe try a new mouse and change the DPI (i’m still changing it from time to time to get a feel of what works best for me)
believe me, your mouse can realy make a diffrence (duh ) i play with corsair mouses for the last few years and imho they are realy great and can compete with razor mouses. but again, try diffrent models/makers and get the one you think feels right in your hand (not everybody has the same size hands wich most mouses are 1 size)
also, it’s fast paced combat and mcree probably needs the best aim from all heroes
Hit scan needs a lot more then a good mouse. But i agree.
I use to play on a old PC without even using a moust pad.
Now i moved from that stuff and i got 4k 144 hz monitor, a moust pad bigger then my desc, got the top recommended mous for overwatch. Finding your dpi and most setting is important as well. And now i play on 300 dps and 4 in game speed and 25% scope sens as widow and still after a month of playing on this settings i feed the need to keep lowering it since my muscle memories are adapting and out ruining my targets. The more i improve the lower my settings need to be otherwise i start missing a lot flickshots. When i didn’t care about DPI and game speed my dps was 1200 and i play’d widow on 12 game speed and 50% scope sens .
And i went from plat to gr master… It was just like woah a new game.
i said a mouse helps hehe
offcourse it’s up to the player to perfect their aim hehe. but i do notice my aim getting better the more i finetune my mouse settings (and bought a mouse that fits my hand perfectly hehe)
though i’m only low silver hahahaha but we’ll climb someday
I just wanted to not be useless when i pick’d widow.
I can really recommend Kephrii’s settings for hitscan and widow as a gr8 starter.
Since they are not to slow and not to fast letting you learn how to 180 flick scope a tracer that gets the jump on you from behind.
400 DPI, 8 Sensitivity, 35 Scope, 6 Windows, 1000hz Polling Rate
Razer Deathadder Chroma on a Razer Goliathus Control Mouse Pad
I started with them, and it was instantly noted. But it was an investmen of 100$ or so, And a moust cable holder is needed to. The razer bungee for 30$ is just to good for fps.
I try’d this for mccree https://memestatic.fjcdn.com/large/pictures/ca/33/ca334a_6351616.jpg
but its mainly a meme at the end of the day.
high zoom!
great hahahaha
I’m pretty sure that when I started playing I reached lvl 25 in about 3-5 hours.
not, definitely not. it’s free weekend, just try
True. They should probably amp it up to lvl 50 not because people would then be better players but because it would deincentivice smurfing and increase their exposure time in other gamemodes before they harm the ladder. Seems reasonable to me
I would rather change requirement to having certain amount of hours in all categories like few hours tank heal and dps not just one role, most alt accounts are all dps one tricks those are the most annoying smurf accounts although you cant really do something about it, at least you can try to encourage some one to play more tank and healer before they start playing competitive since in quickplay this is even bigger issue, which is why many dps players practise in comp instead of quickplay both is fine however i think most would play qp more if they could have fun there more often, the lack of tanks and healers makes it less fun.
an actual decent matchmaker would realy help…
but seeing blizzard thinks basing your rank on “win/loss” is the biggest thing since hot water… i doubt they will ever counter ANY of the problems smurfs and trolls create…
there are even smurfs/trolls willingly trowwing matches or playing extremely bad just to DErank (had a few of these matches today… 1 where we couldn’t even win against a handicap team because 1 was trowing that hard…)
ranked is realy REALY bad atm, though QP isn’t much better (diffrent que same trolls)
I actually really like this suggestion. You could add those requirements on top of the minimum level (25), like a checklist you need to check off before gaining access to competitive.
it should be 100 at least
