Moira isn't overpowered

Why do I always see posts complaining about her? Why do people think she is op? Yeah she is annoying to play against, but a lot of heroes are, like genji and tracer yet people don’t complain they are op. Moira does very little DPS but a decent amount of healing. Majority of people don’t actually heal as her, but that is basically just throwing. If you lose the 1v1 to Moira, you are either bad, made a mistake or were going to die anyway.

I just hate her orb and the fact that it takes ages to get healed sometimes.
And that the orb stays that long.

Yeeees d.va destroys it. But below dia you won’t have d.vas 24/7 just bc she’s meta.

Less cd, less uptime and a bit less dmg potential. And I’m fine.

Players expect Moira to be their own personal healer, which she obviously isn’t.
That’s why she gets a lot of stick when I play her, I’d reckon anyway.

Stay closer to the pack and you’ll get healed no problem. Venture out and if I can heal you with my orb I will but, I’m not going to abandon the objective or pack to do so. Folks also forget that to be most effective she needs to draw power from the enemy, so she isn’t ignoring her healing, she’s actively gaining power to allow her to heal.

I’d say some people think she’s OP because they don’t know about what matters. Yes, a bad Moira will get gold elims and a really bad one will also get a damage medal, but ultimately, that doesn’t help the team much. Her healing output can be great, but only under the right circumstances (much to heal, team bunched up). Her ult is relatively bad as a support ult because it too is circumstancial.

You know her DPS is the lowest in the game, right?

I really disagree with this.
A good Moira will stick with the group, get lots of kills and heals. She will know when to damage the enemy, it’s no good not sending an orb of discord out when you’re not using the healing one. And vice versa.

I think her ult is decent, it just needs to be used correctly which a lot of people don’t do

I get gold elims because my teammates aren’t doing anything, if I were to heal them it would be a -impact play whereas me going for kills is +impact. While I could just switch to a DPS, Moira’s pretty good in DM and you need to approach every game as a TDM where you don’t have a team in OW because of how bad the average player is (not exclusive to OW btw, I know games where I’m the only good player)

While your not wrong about Moira being good in DM and TDM, the way you describe yourself as the “only good player” is extremely arrogant and if you are focusing on DPS as Moira, perhaps that’s why you are losing?

you wouldn’t have gold elims if you were healing your team, the team can’t do anything if your not healing lol

What?

this means that in games where I have gold elims I know that healing them is a waste of time (most likely because I actually did heal them for some time without them actually doing anything)…

You really need to work on your reading comprehension, I bet monkeys would do better…

You need to work on your healing of you want to win matches lol, I can read perfectly fine, that’s how I am able to tell you are the reason you are losing, not your team

You’re out of touch with reality. I’ve already explained to you that I’ve literally tried healing and people never do anything. In fact, I’ve had games where I only healed and had 0 deaths and even though I kept people alive through the most ridiculous stuff we always lost the games.

I know better than you about my own games FYI.

You can open up your reddit vocab as much as you like but you’ll not find anything that sticks because you’re on the side of illogicality.

If you stop healing people because “they aren’t worth it”, you are essentially throwing the match, I don’t understand why you struggle so much to understand that but you clearly have a superiority complex so maybe that’s why

It’s not about them not being worth it, it’s about it being negative impact. I aim to make positive impact plays.

Healing literally cannot be a negative impact, are you sure you are even talking about the right game?

Healing them only results in my opponents being fed ult charge. They’re low impact players which means me healing them would be a negative impact play.

Yes but by not healing them, they are easier to kill meaning there is less people for a team fight, increasing the chance of a loss. The enemy gets ult charge anyway, so you aren’t preventing anything by not healing them, you are just increasing the chance of a loss

I have a higher impact AND higher win rate when I play high impact moira vs low impact healer moira in games where my teammates are bad. I would have higher impact when healing if my teammates weren’t awful. Again, I’ve already made it very clear that the no / low healing is only in games where my teammates aren’t doing anything. If I have at least 2 competent teammates or 1+ friends I’m playing with then I’ll heal them because I can count on them doing something
