Hi, I’ve experienced with both the Ashe live patch and on the PTR that nothing loads in on my games. The opening screen is black with the list of options, when I load into the practice range I get stuck on the loading screen and when I load into any games, I get stuck on the loading screen and kicked for inactivity.
Is this a known issue?
Are there any known solution for this problem?
Hi.
In Blizzard app, go to Settings>Game settings and reset Overwatch options.
Having the same issue. No black screen, but for example Ashe doesn’t appear on the menu screen. Or she did (along with her emotes, etc, in the hero gallery), until I tried going into the Training Range, but the game still leaves me on the loading screen, and Ashe has disappeared again. I’m getting sound from her emotes, etc, but no visual. Did the reset thing, and put all my graphics to low/off, but it doesn’t seem to have done anything sadly.
Hello,
Same issue here. I can see the text of the menus but no white background. I cannot see the Ashe background neither.
But, the worst thing is that any time I try to enter a game it gets stuck in the loading page. What’s broken? I tried reinstalling the game and it didn’t work… My girlfriend, just in front of me can play without any issue.
Do you have any solution about it?
I have this issue too. Tried a complete reinstall, but no fix. I noticed that in the loading screen my PC doesn’t seem to be using much processing power at all (20%), where it used to go up to about 100% during initial loads.
Guys, go here (remove spaces from link) and send them some help

I’m having the exact same problem as well, I’m really bummed out that nothing I’ve tried has fixed/resolved the issue since my two best friends are having no problem and getting to play Ashe live as the PTR was doing this same thing (I assumed it was just the PTR)
I hope that someone finds a fix soon
I found a fix in a thread about this issue on the ptr, i closed it and can’t find the post. But i copied this to send to a friend, here you go!
(it worked for me hopefully it will for you too )
To set the command line, in the Blizzard Desktop client with Overwatch selected, choose Options > Game Settings. Find the Overwatch entry in the list, click the Additional command line arguments checkbox. In the textbox there add:
--tank_WorkerThreadCount 1
Hello everyone,
Here’s the link to the post made by a developer with a possible fix for this issue:
Please, make sure you read all the instructions given by the developer carefully before trying the fix. If it gets worse or you notice something weird, remove the line from the command line.
The developers are working on a permanent fix for this issue, but in the meanwhile it seems like this lets people play normally. Once the game gets a patch with a possible fix, please try removing the command line.
