Greetings and salutations my fellow OW players. I made this topic just share some of my thoughts about Overwatch 1 and what changes i would like to see in OW2
Make note that i am a CONSOLE player that mostly play for casual. I try not to go into character balance as i havent done rated that much.
• There should be bigger penalty for leavers and or AFK’ers. Dont go overboard with penalty, just more than it is now. Also give players who join games that has already started more XP
•Endorsement system is pure garbage
Title speaks for itself. Getting into rank 3/4 is way too easy, and staying in rank 4 and getting into rank 5 is too hard. If you are gonna keep endorsement system you need more ranks to make it better.
• Blacklisting of maps.
If you only play Quick play/arcade (like i mostly do) you should be able to blacklist some of the maps or game modes
• Make achievments avaible on arcade
From the current achievments most could be earned via arcade games (mystery hero example)
• More experience points if you fight near payloads/capture zones
That change would focus fight more on objectives and reduce the amount people trying to solo, getting killed and making your team disadvantage. Snipers like Widowmaker get compensated otherways
• Make all the payloads work the same way.
As casual player it’s hella confusing how some of the payloads work. Some you can get cover agaisnt Dva bomb and some get you killed.
• Confirm that you are ready to enter game.
When game is ready you press/click button that you are ready to enter game. This would reduce people who AFK start of the game/get’s kicked from team for AFK
• High mobility characters should not have long effective range.
Like Sombra, moving fast on stealth and high dps on mid range
• Groupfinding tool
You could choose what you seek from you’re games. Is it purely win, achievments or just casual. Tired of losing because 1 character is trying to get that 1 achievment.
•Priority pass.
There should always be option to use priority pass. Ex. It shows 4 min dps que, when you que as dps you wait 5-10 mins then reque and it shows <-8mins with priority pass (so you basically wasted the 10 mins). Priority pass is a good idea and i like to use it. Blizzard should keep it even there is more players specially during launch of OW 2
There is some of the things i have issues with the current Overwatch. I am sorry if there is a issues that has already been changed in Overwatch 2 beta.
The ranked system been working great atleast for me (i am borderline gold/plat) player and most of the games i’ve played has been enjoyable/close
