random is broken - it was few times when i got the same hero twice in a row in last 3 years, and almost in every game now it happens.
it was three divas in a row on last week. the random is gone or what happens?

It happens when other people kill you. It started in the patch that Echo launched and hasn’t been fixed. It’s quite common, I’d say about 15-20% of deaths will respawn as the same hero.

I’m actually fine with this as long as i don’t get genji 3 times in a row (happened 2 days ago, was so close to throwing my laptop out the balcony in frustration)
lot of situations in mystery heroes when you somehow killing mercy or basti or bapt or some other enemy that are annoying. you using your ultimate or going “suicide” and kill him and few moments later this hero still there - its not good at all for my opinion, and it works good before.

human brain doesn’t understand random. random means you can get 10 times the same output when there is 5% chance of getting this ouput. The ratio we expect only show up at much larger scales (for example, if u roll a dice you won’t get a comparable amount of each number until you rolled it ~40 times)

Human brain understands basic math. With 32 heroes in the game the chance of drawing the same hero twice in a row is 3% and the chance for drawing one 3 times in a row is almost 1 in 10.000.
Anyone contesting this is a bug clearly doesn’t play Mystery heroes or doesn’t understand basic probabilities.
I’ve had triple respawns a bunch of times this week alone. And countless times since the bug was introduced in echo patch.

Dont think theres any bug there, only conspiracy theories.
Random is random and sometimes you will get the same hero on 2-5 deaths, it happens.
The only bad part of that RNG is when the enemy team keeps getting healers and tanks after you destroy them over and over. Feels like the game is stacking against you but meh, there will be more games.
Didnt they try and “balance” mystery heroes in a patch not so long ago?
There are 32 heroes in the game. The chance to get the same 3 times in a row is close to 1 in 10.000, the chance for the same hero 4 times in a row is 0,003%
Anyone that played Mystery Heroes regularly knows something major changed after echo patch. Before it was basically impossible to get the same hero twice unless you suicided.
It’s either:
A) a bug that you can even repeat the same hero
B) intended that you can repeat the same hero, but bugged that probability is much higher
Likewise, anyone that understands probabilities knows the random button is broken now, regarding repeating the same hero.
Since neither situation was announced in patch notes, I’m assuming it is broken, unless stated otherwise.

It isnt and no, I dont need a math class.
Also I never said “In a row”, read before trying to act clever pal.
Mystery Heroes is literally the only mode I play, except when some friends want to QP for like 30 mins so yeah, I know what I am talking about, way more than you it seems.
Getting the same hero 3 times in a row is really weird and If you record ALL your matches, I am 100% sure that it doesnt even happen that much, like not even a 0.5% of your deaths, so take a chill pill.
