Nerf Ramatra's ult

The ult lasts one and a half days… Make it for a shorter duration please

It is 3 seconds.

It only lasts longer if you are close… Just run, or tactically die. Or the 3rd option of hard focus him down as soon as he ults.

bit difficult if you have to contest a point. It is just an automatic win…

Not really. That is when target focusing is the play.

Assuming you are running a more meta compliant backline, Lucio should beat and everyone try to melt him.

Even just orisa focusing him down withba rain of headshots can be enough to kill ramattra really fast, and even more so when she is being pocketed.
The ult works super slowly if that’s the only thing hurting you, and ramattra himself cannot attack if he’s almost dead during it.
A sojourn or soldier hammering bullets into his head pretty much makes sure he can’t do anything but defend, which means he will die faster than his supports can heal him.
( a mei can just iceblock through the ult while contesting.)

Either a good support ult or someone with distance healing can keep the team alive unless an enemy dps ults at the same time.

At least with map geometry you can hide from the ramattra ult behind walls, i don’t know if that works with the payload as well.

Yeah. A Sojourn with a Mercy pocket will shred through nearly everyone.

I disagree, ramatra ult + nano boost = win

If you play it well, yeah.

But beat and trans can help counter it. As can playing split if you know he has ult. At that point all your need to do is LoS it.

The crucial fights for taking a point are simply won by the team that uses Ramatra+nano boost in my experience.

Let’s do the math…
Nano boost = 50% increased damage.
Ramatra pummel = 60 dmg => nanoboosted 90 dmg per 0.6 sec = 150 dmg per sec
Ramatra Ravenous Vortex = 15 dmg => nanoboosted 22 dmg per sec
Ramatra ult = 30 dmg => nanoboosted 15 dmg per sec
A total of 187 dmg per second.

This is pure bull****. There is no ult which will save you from that kind of DPS taking into consideration his whole team is also outputting damage. (see my Zen remark below)

Trans only last half of the duration of Ramatra’s ult… he still has plenty of time to kill. But it is indeed the ult that comes closest as a counter.

I’m guessing I’m talking to gold ranks here but a Ramatra with a brain will only ult when he is close to enemies. He can get close to his enemies with his slow + his speed buff or with descend positioning. When pushing the bot, you need to advance and a good Ramatra player can easely abuse that. And as I mentioned before, my complaints are mostly about those crucial fights where you have to contest a point, so you have to be in his range.

Claiming you can “easely” kill him while he has access to +225 armour + 1000 health shield + Block that could -75% damage (while he is being healed by his team)… Is just purely you guys having no clue what you are talking about. He literally has one of the best survivability of any hero in this game at the moment he uses those skills. Been playing some QP games here and even with discord on him, it takes a considerable amount of time to kill him.

The only good point in this topic is that you can sleep Ramatra’s ult. Besides Ramatra his ult, the hero aint that much. But the fact that you can win crucial fights without it taking much skill (just be close), is bad for the game imo. If I’m playing ana and I have to chose between nano boosting our genji or our Ramatra, I will boost Ramatra. But I guess it was to be expected as the first hero behind a paywall.

He’s not behind a paywall. I haven’t paid a cent and i have him unlocked.

An orisa can easily javelin him and then javelin push him away. A dva self destruct will kill him. I’ve killed so many ulting and boosted ramattras in qp. A dps in your team goes for the enemy supports and the rest of you just murder ramattra. If you put enough damage into him he will have to defend and can’t attack.
I’m only silver, but i’ve managed just fine against a clutch nanoboost with orisa. She has her damage mitigation and can get the ramattra away from the bot/payload easily. It just takes teamwork.
A dva can easily get out of the range for a second or two at a time and then the ult is over. I’m pretty sure a hog could hook the ramattra away from the bot and lead him on a merry chase to save his team.
And that’s just options if you don’t have ults. You just have to play with what you can in an overtime situation.

And as i said. A mei iceblock can outlast the ramattra ult. I always play mei against a ramattra for that reason. The icewall breaks the line of sight so he can’t damage anyone and the iceblock contests while the rest of the team wait the ult out and go for the rest of the team.

A nano of your own or a beat is good to use, but even a mercy ult can help loads, moirais also really good in that situation, since she can stay just outside the range while hosing everyone down.

No, not true. DVA ult can be simply blocked by his shield or even his +225 armour on top of his health pool. Your math is off the whole time. baby DVA will be instantly killed if closed to the Ramatra.

Imo the javalin or Mei wall are not sufficient in most cases to keep him out of reach. There are some counters but not enough or not sufficient enough, especially in this meta. I hear people complaining about him all the time in my games.

They should reduce the duration of his ult and boost maybe something else in his kit so that overal he gets a little stronger while his ult is nerfed.

The self destruct gets him low enough for almost anyone to finish off. And of course a single hero isn’t supposed to be able to kill a tank, it’s a team based game.

If you toss an orisa with good support at him, he will go low enough that he needs to stop attacking or die on the spot. One of your team gets his support and the rest just delete him.
I’ve not looked at any numbers, i’m talking of how easy it has been for me to kill him.

You toss a mei on the point alone in her cube and the ult is over before the rest of you even need to go there. And during that time someone has dived his support so he can’t be healed. At that point you’ll only have the scrub ramattra there instead of the ulting one.

It needs some teamwork but if silver lvl qp without voice comms can do it, so should you.

There is not much use talking to you.

DVA ult = 1K dmg at best. If Ramatra uses his shield to block off the damage, he still has full health. If he uses his block, he will have 675-250 = 425 health left and taking into account when he gets healed for let’s say 55 hps, you need at least 220 dps to lower his health even… So a pocketed sojourn will not even be able to lower his health all that much if Ramatra is getting healed while blocking. And you keep saying as if he can easely be killed. If he is blocking and getting healed by one support, you need about 310 DPS for 4 seconds after a full DVA bom hit him in the face, in order to kill him. So your entire team would be needed to burst him down… while the enemy team is also attacking you.

The thing is, you are playing against silver ranked ramatra’s.

Perhaps, but they are also ulting and nanoboosted. Try antinading him on top of the already suggested methods.
Try not to think of the numbers too much as those don’t take into account missed shots and dead supports.

It is almost like combining ults is a good, strong thing to do.

What is OP is Hog Kiriko.

Nano’d Ramattra is just another EMP D.Va Bomb. If you know they have it, play split, play for LoS.

Just curious how long it takes? I play a little comp every night, but don’t have BP. How many years will it takes to unlock ramatra?

I got mine just before christmas with once or twice a week playing qp. So not long at all.

Interesting, I only play competitive, literally it’s like the only mode I play, and it still tells me I need to upgrade to BP premium to unlock ramattra

You need to reach level 45 in the battlepass to unlock him. Until then it’ll keep telling you to unlock him by buying the premium pass.

I honestly didn’t even know what BP level I was. Just checked and it looks like I’m lvl 39, so still a while to go.

So he’s playable in QP? Meaning I just need to play him a couple times a week and that will speed up the unlock?
