got banned for cheating reports.
email’d blizz, they wont overturn my ban, just automated ctrl+c/v responses from the reps at customer service.
I’ll make a new account and save all my codes ect if need be and post it once that new account also gets banned for cheating to prove my innocence. (wont type in chat/talk in voice to avoid any abusive communication claims against me. Won’t afk/grief either, just to clarify)
Incase youre wondering if its anticheat detecting something, no, its from getting reports from randoms in games and getting an automated cheating ban, instant account closure once reported enough. Its over for me I guess
extra info;
havent cheated in the past ever, no dodgy programs. I assume Blizz has decided that my HWID is that of a cheater now so will be perma on sight, so I will go ahead and do all the procedures to ensure blizz sees my PC and account as a completely new player to prove a point.
ToS, couldnt care less, you shouldnt be banning legit players unless theyre griefers/trollers/perma toxic.
Strange. I’ve been playing for years as a zarya main and have had games where I’ve totally carried, 3-4 golds, etc. Never ever been reported for cheating in 5 years.
Not saying that it’s impossible to happen but what a shi77y reporting system if it really perma bans people solely based on others just reporting you enough times and not an actual live human being on Blizzard’s end reviewing the actual reported game footage and confirming whether it’s cheating or not.
2016, better than you at the vidya, cant compare hitscan to tank gamers.
lower than master players more likely to report smurfer hitscan cree freshie than zarya tank tracker. tanks wouldnt face any of these issues.
need blizz employee to manually review something for real. they dont manually review f*-all, otherwise i wouldnt be banned, just a bs they say. My guess is they manually review accounts only after appeals been made and the person has spent money in their shop.
They wouldnt waste their time manually reviewing fresh accounts.
only thing which should get you insta perma’d is an anticheat ban.
Makes 0 sense.
Needs to be an “overwatch” review type system similar to CS;GO, where reports from the community will get them reviewed.
IMO only acceptable option for smurfs is a cooldown which ramps up. just put it along side grief bans, 24hours, 7days, ect. I’d take this over perma anyday, slowly climb the ranks high enough where reports lessen if youre legit and good.
That’s because you were a Zarya main. If you were something like Soldier (Common cheat hero), it’ll be different.
It’s a terrible reporting system, not to mention lazy, but doing an automated report system means Blizzard don’t need to spend money on employees to check it out.
the reporting system alone wouldnt ban op , op was cheating simple , you get reported if suspicious players report you with replay codes , or the anticheat catches you , its a ban ,
if a lot of players are reporting you or report is correct then of course you will get banned , you wont get any sympathy on forums cheater in games are lower than cockroaches.
My account was also permanently banned, I played this game for 6 years, never used cheats, and I can go to Blizzard to prove that I did not use cheats, as long as Blizzard is willing to bear all my losses
There must have been a third party application of some form that triggered their anti-cheat system. It doesn’t actively need to be software used for cheating, as third party stat evaluation programs have also triggered the anti-cheat in the past despite not having any affect on the gameplay.
If you can prove to the technical support without any doubt that you have no programs that affect the battlenet or the overwatch app you could perhaps reason with them about the ban, but this is as much as the forum can help.
No one is reporting you for hero picks. You can’t be banned for cheating for hero picks.
The only way you get banned for cheating is if they or the the system has picked up some 3rd party influence, or they deemed you to be boosting accounts.
“improperly favoring the interests of businesses over the interests of consumers”. Not sure them banning someone is doing anything like that. Your issue is probably with the terms of service.
