Flashpoint and Clash Maps are a terrible experience and not at all what Overwatch 2 needs imho.
Even the Assault Maps like Volskaya were better.
The game is going into a terrible direction already but these new Maps truly make me wanna stop playing the game.
It simply feels like the only thing that is coming after Overwatch 1 is Battle Passes and Downgrades…
I dont get it.
Also terrible is that the ratio of these new maps seems to be adjusted upwards. I get them way more often than older maps.
I feel like that the Clash maps are oddly boring and at the same time stressful. They also seem to favor a specific group of heroes more than other maps do.
I just got the egyptian map twice in three matches just now.
Yea somehow I think they are pushing the new maps at the moment…
I get them a lot more than older ones.
One thing I don’t like is the roller-coaster of emotions: “Nice we won the point! Oh no, now loose a point. Nice we won another point! Oh no we lost another one…” thats becomes too frustanting in Flash and Clash
This is annoying me too, yesterday I played “Assault Maps” in Arcade, I was already tired of being forced playing clash at least 1 every 3 games… I hope this ratio does not last longer.
I mean… it was funny to boop off the opponent off the first point as Winston in Primal Rage^^
but yeah Clash is just a failure that makes me wish that 2CP just coming back to Quick Play… And Flashpoint maps are too big, the newly added Speed Boosters at the Spawns are a Testiment to that.
Yea, I do think the new maps have character. That is actually one of Blizzards strong sides. In all their Games, even as far back as Warcraft 3. I simply do not like the mechanics of the new maps. Chaotic, rushed and unpleasant. Not my cup of tea. Maybe would be ok to actually get these maps as a neutral ratio. But they are definitely heavily overrepresented in the queue at the moment.
Clash was always going to ruffle a few feathers because it requires such a different play style to what people are used to.
It’ll be interesting to see what its like when the dust settles. A lot of people hated Push when it came out, but you don’t hear quite so much heat towards it now.
Trust me, if the new maps really were better than the old ones, I’d admit it. I’d say I don’t like this sequel but the new maps are better. That wouldn’t change any of my views on 5v5.
You should also believe me because I started the above sentence with “trust me”.
