I seem to get this error quite often. I have noticed that it usually happens right after the Blizzard Battle net client appears unresponsive and after I open Task manager and click End Task on the Blizzard Battle net App.
Once I re-open the Blizzard Battle net client and then attempt to start Overwatch again I am faced with this error: “No compatible graphics hardware was found 0xE0070160”
What I have done:
- Restarted the laptop
- Changed the resolution of the display in the settings
- Reset the in-game settings of Overwatch
- Drivers are up to date
- Scan and repair
Usually the problem appears to resolve itself after some time, but I am never able to figure out what caused it exactly and/or how it resolves itself. Sometimes it seems it happens after an update from Overwatch
Graphics card: Nvidia GT540M
Hey Shadowheart,
Let’s start by re-installing your drivers once more, as the error itself is often the cause of a driver conflict. Before installing the new drivers, please use a Display Driver Uninstaller to fully remove your current drivers for both your dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M and integrated Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000. Once done, install the latest drivers for both.
Before testing Overwatch again, please check your power management settings. Make sure it is set to high performance.
Have a few seconds to spare? Let me know how I’m doing!
Hi,
Thanks for the tips
The issue resolved itself again after restarting the laptop a few times.
I don’t know what the cause of the issue is still. But it’s strange that it happens every time after I end the battle net agent app through task manager when it is unresponsive.
