QP, helps learn the basics of a hero, but you canât understand how to use the hero in a proper team composition, as QP has none mostly. The only place you can understand how they synergize is in a team settings.
Perhaps once LFG comes, in itâs more viable in QP.
im sorry but you saying that footballers in non league teams can with practice reach premiership level says that - a - you either know nothing about football , which i doubt , or b-- you are talking com-plete rubbish to try and justify yourself . everyone that plays this game has a different skill/level cap they are or can attain no matter how much practice they put in , for example a older player will not have the eye co-ordination or trhe reflexes to do things as quick as a younger player , and this is natural with anything in life so please dont say thats rubbish . so older players will prob expect to be in lower tiers but still be placed with players similar to themselves to experience good close fun matches , having higher level players smurging in those matches for whatever reason seriously takes al the fun out of it , because it is no fun gettin stomped all the time by people like yourself buying extra accts to just practice with against lower levels trying to improve slightly making them think its pointless and so quitting the game , and again that is not how they advertised the game for people to buy â it did not say - overwatch a fps but if you are not good you wont enjoy it --.
I made 3 accounts, bc my main got bronze even I could easily go to plat. So I made a new account (try hard) and went directly to plat, i thought i might make it into diamond with clear and nice stats.
Not bashing low eloâs for fun.
fun or exciting for mr is it to beat diamond /plat players and make them call me smurf. It gives me the motivation to further improve myself.
So for me a smurf acc = try to insta reach the next tier
What are you on about? I donât think you understand what boosting is.
Youâre talking about account selling. Account selling is not boosting. Boosting is when someone pays another person to either play on their account, or duo with them to increase their rating. For example a <500 player pays $1000 and a top 500 player plays on his account to get his rating to 4200. That is boosting, and requiring a phone number will not help one bit.
Yes, their are websites that boost for you. So you go pay on a particular site, and they have people who boost your accounts. Which is what I was talking about.
Blizzard clearly recognizes smurfs to be a problem otherwise there wouldnât be a system to rapidly assign an MMR to group skilled players together. OW is supposed to be better than all those old crappy toxic game environments where some game troll holed up forever to âgit gudâ and then patted his fat ass on the back for killing new players⊠maybe we should go back to the days where laws didnât exist and people could kill you for fun as well. I mean in theory, this is tantamount to what things used to be like.
doesnât it happen just by their performance, not by some shady smurf detection algorithms?
Sure, they want to group equally skilled players together (this is what matchmaker does), which doesnât acknowledge smurfs themselves being an issue - canât see your argument in this.
The point is itâs there in part to counter the smurf problem⊠a part of a larger problem of a shtty game for everyone except the high skilled/experienced players so MMR covers that case as well. yes, by tracking performance we donât end up with some pro knob getting an account and trashing a bunch of new players to the point they go "this sht is so hard whatâs the point" and you know, not buying loot boxes, etc.
IIRC, Blizz has even gone on record before saying the reason they donât consider smurfing an issue is itâs a use case that drove the MMR system to help corral the problem.
no, its not even in part to counter the smurf problem. its solely for the reason to keep noobs and more skilled players apart (smurfs or not, doesnt matter), so the noobs donât get rekt constantly and eventually abandon the game.
I suggest you read this and consider Jeffâs statements: ~ttps://www.pcgamer.com/overwatch-director-jeff-kaplan-says-smurfing-isnt-really-a-problem/
Smurfing is inherently a problem of pitting high skilled players against low skilled⊠itâs hard to believe in any rational sense that the creation and need for the MMR system isnât partly driven by the inevitable use of smurf accounts which partly create the problem of low vs high skilled players. You simply cannot separate them out, Smurfs and just high skilled players BOTH are part of the drivers for using MMR and were certainly part of the consideration in the creation of MMR.
FWIW I have one current smurf account, and I would feel somewhat bad about using it except for the fact MMR mitigates this after just a few games.
dude, any network provider will send you a SIM card for free to your door through the post in 2 days, or just walk into any store on the street and ask for one -.-
If you wanna get a new SIM card there are protocols like providing ID etcâŠ
In most countries people below a certain age are not even allowed to get a SIM card. You might be able to get door delivered SIM cards if you can provide ID of yourself, and pay for it. Itâs just added barriers introduced.
Smurfing is not an offense. Not against the policy of the game.
And itâs not a problem for most players.
Tbh, when I bought a second account I got placed at 20 rating lower than on my main accountâŠAm I a Smurf? Definitely no. But in Your opinion I shouldnât be able to play on 2 accountsâŠ
absolutely not the case where I live I never even heard of such a thing⊠I have multiple SIM cards from every network in the country that were ordered online for -free- and I didnât provide anything but my delivery address
a child could walk into any phone store here and ask for a SIM card and they will give them one for a small price, sounds like you live in a police state
Blizz could identify smurfs and their ranks quite easy as long as they play on one comp or network.
You allowed Blizz to scan your comp and stuff and that is all they would need to know. They can easily access informations to definitely identify players on the same system and even on the same IP (remember ipv6? much more better to identify people)
If there are multiple accounts on one Blizz Account itâs even easier.
The only point would be, if there are TRUELY different people on one comp like bro and sis. But letâs be honest⊠how often does that nowadays actually happen? It does, but its less than minor.
Also itâs VERY easy to make a checkup in matches if the win/lose ratio kill/death ratio and other stats nad behaviours are similar to one of the other âassotiatedâ accounts that could be identified as one account in the network/computer. If yes, rank him where he belongs to.
These checks can already be done on level 0 to 20. Smurfs mostly want to get quickly to their level 20 and thus play full power in QP.
There are ways, Blizz definitely knows them. The problem is that we little players will never really know what Blizz thinks about smurfingâŠ
Do they want it? do they want it not? Do they even want to make it bannable if you play on purpose bad to obliterate little players as this could be seen as game destroying/disturbing and effectively effects the sales, community and playerbase.
