Heya
I was wondering, who is able to give non-recoverable health in the game? I know there are non-recoverable shield and armor, but health? I saw about it in the last patch note, and I really got curious what it might be.
Thanks for your replies

Lucio’s sound wave.
Brig’s armor.
Wreaking balls self shield.
Torbs self armor.
I think that’s all unless Zaryas 200hp bubbles count.
Lucio’s sound wave: shield
Brig’s armor: armor
Wreaking balls self shield: shield
Torbs self armor: armor
I think that’s all unless Zaryas 200hp bubbles count: not sure if it does count or not.
But you didn’t mention any non-recoverable health.
That’s it.
In the patches it read.
“With the change to the order adjustment, heroes who have been granted non-recoverable armor or shields, like from Brigitte, will now consume those before recoverable health, armor, or shields when they take damage.”
Yeah, but before, it talks specifically about non-recoverable health.
What are they?
Maybe it’s for the new hero, Blizzard posted a hint earlier today and people seem to think it’s a healer.
I was thinking about Winston when he ults too but he gets recoverable health as long as he’s ulting not non-recoverable.
I really believe that the non-recoverable health is just Lucio ult and Wreaking balls shield.
Because his “shield” doesn’t work like the rest.
Because atm its
HP, shield hp, armor hp, lucio ult/wreaking ball shield.
A good think to know about them is that, you don’t get ult charge by attacking Lucio ult shield or Wreaking balls shield HP.
A hint to a new hero ability isn’t out of the question as well.
Didn’t think about the next hero, maybe he will be able to grant non-recoverable health.
We will see.
Also, didn’t know Lucio’s and Wreaking ball’s shields didn’t grant ultimate when damaged, it’s good to know.
New priority order: non-recoverable shields, non-recoverable armor, non-recoverable health , recoverable shields, recoverable armor, and recoverable health
Based on the list, Lucio ult, Wrecking Ball Shield and Doomfist Shield are in the category Non Recoverable Shields, They are always the first thing you will damage.
Ah yeah and doom as well.
Forgot that hero even existed.
I thought it might be Lucio too so I checked the Wiki and according to them it’s Temporary Shield, in dark blue while normal Shield is light blue. Hammond has Temporary Shield too.

So according to the wiki right now there’s no hero that gives temporary health, only armor or shield.
As for Non recoverable health. It’s possible blizzard just created the system to allow this health type in case they would ever add it to a hero.
It doesn’t necessarily mean it was added for the next hero.
People really seem to think the new hero is Baptiste, ex-talon Medic and there were a few fan concepts of heroes with temporary health abilities.
It’s reaching but hey, it would be great to have a new and interesting healer to play
I mean it’s possible it will come with the next hero. But i wouldn’t be surprised if it’s not.
Also yes there is a lot hinting that Baptiste could be the next hero in the form of a support.
This is most likely for the new hero. In the Overwatch League, they showed a very revealing teaser for them and it’s basically confirmed that they’re a Talon healer and maybe even sniper, so they might be able to give non-recoverable health.
Winston.
In his ult he gets additional 500 HP (non-recoverable). Those 500 extra take damage first, so if you bring him down to 480 and his ult ends, he’s not dead, but instead at those 480.
Edit: Since he has unrecoverable armor that takes damage first though, it might mean that he should end up with 100 less total HP than what he has at the end of his ult. Not sure though.
The extra health winston gains during his ult can be healed, so it falls into recoverable health, even if it is temporary.
Isn’t non-recoverable health ones that have been bionaded by Ana? I mean it fits the bill, it’s health you can’t recover when the negative effect is active.
Although that would mean you could bionade Zeyatta or Symmetra and kill them without touching any of their shields based on the new order, as the damage would prioritise non-recoverable health before recoverable shields, so that can’t be right…
There is no such thing in the game right now. They put this in the patch notes just in case there will be such thing in the future.
Tbh I think hp is no longer hp when it is called shield. With your logic you could also call armor hp because why not.
It is indeed call’d Shield HP and Armor HP. But yeah it has shield and armor behind it.
