Not a bad debut to Steam, to be labelled as officially the worst rated game on Steam.
Anyone else agree with this rating?

If Paladins gets āVery Positiveā but Overwatch 2 this than no I donāt agree. I play both, mostly Overwatch and only occasionally Paladins, and I enjoy both but Paladins is an unbalanced, uninspirational, unpolished turd compared to Overwatch.
Even though OW2 is not fully what we might expected it to be I would still rate it 8.5/10.
It should be obvious that most reviews come from people review-bombing it. Many just add it to their library in order to write a bad review. Despite this, Overwatch 2 currently is the 28th most active game on Steam.
Will these reviews change anything? Probably not. Bad reviews typically drive people away from purchasing a game but not from giving a free-to-play game a try.
Well, it can only go up from hereā¦
Bear in mind that the game just got a new hero and a massive marketing campaign so this is most likely the most Steam players this game will ever get and it can only really go down from hereā¦
Iām impressed how well counter strike is still doing after all of these years thoughā¦
Pretty much the same underlying game for 20 years with some graphical changes and stuff and it still gets one million concurrent playersā¦
Oh I agree 100%. The game is definitely much worse now.
to be fair tho paladins is a indie company, you cant expect the same quality as a big company like blizz. And i thinkit works fine enough atleast back when i played it about a year ago.
i disagree with this. Its just overwatch 1 with some unwanted changes wich alot of people like. A downgraded product should not be rated that high. A downgrade is not a reason why it should officially be called a different product.
Its playable and not buggy, but honestly it shouldnt be rated high since it offers nothing of signifficance wich is new to count as a stand alone product. the ow changes could easily be done in a major patch.
counterstrike is a simple game anddoesnt require that much strong hardware. So its easily affordable and playable by many people around the world. World of warcraft is the same. Its an old game but people can play it on a potato pc. So it maintains players without gaming pcs. So more casuals and people with less money for hardware
Not everyone can run the latest and newest fps game after all. A proper gaming pc can easily cost over 1000 euro if you have no idea how to built one yourself
Yeah they should bring the game to GFN game streamingā¦
I wouldnāt say review bombing, I would say venting. Gamers have finally been given a platform where they can provide honest reviews of the game, how they feel the direction has been misled, and vent about the consistent issues with the game/how it is managed. These reviews canāt be manipulated/deleted/hidden from public eye. Maybe if things turn around for OW2 these might also be converted.
Given player counts are dropping per month, we can expect this to reduce down further.
Yeah, but Valve have developed it properly, and delivered comms and updates well to the market. They didnāt build a new game just to profiteer off their playerbase (as nothing really new is in OW2 lets be honest), but they built a market which their playerbase are now invested in (The skins, stickers, soundtracks and what not), not just buying items with no ability to trade - and also their playerbase can make a profit out of this, and sell their items when theyāre bored lets say).
Indeed, 6v6 brought balance, and letās not forget the brilliant 2cp maps we used to have (including the Spacecraft/Moon map) - they also took these maps away.
thats what the players thought as well. But the game and the company behind it only became worse.
Look at the state of the game, how people feel about overwatch 2 and how they used to feel about overwatch 1. Its not review bombing. Its a very unhappy playerbase with the right reasons to be upset
Very nice for new game to take that place.
-I agree with this 101%.
It might be true but at the same time, i do think it will result in people buying way less transactions due to the games and companies reputation. On top of people not buying anything due to the absurdly high prices for skins anyway
Doubt it will, even with 2042 having free weekends, I wouldnāt go near it at all. I loved BF1, BFV was fine, but the bad press regarding the terrible release, similar to OW2, I just donāt want to go near it and waste my time, and neither do my friends.
The only reason why Iām sticking with OW2 is because I loved OW1. Now Iām hoping that one day that they can turn this around, and that any feedback I/we provide here, ideas, opinions are finally read and consumed.
Honestly you probably should go to the usa forums if you want your ideas, opinions to be read and heard. The eu forums tend to be ignored by devs, its the same with the wow forums
Canāt say Iāve travelled over there. They should really be involving all regions, not just US - or, better still, make it a global forum.
Just shows how clueless and blindsighted Blizzard are lol.
At least we have someone from Blizzard team viewing this thread.
Although OW2 is far from the most terrible game ever I do understand why it got āReviewbombedā. The main reason? Blizzard does not listen to its customers and now people vent their frustration via Steam.
OW2 is a huge downgrade to OW1 in my opinion but there was hope on the horizon; PvE⦠but alas we wonāt get that eitherā¦
Yep, as that is the one true place where reviews cannot be deleted/manipulated. Luckily Steam does this for all of its games.
Itās not ānewā tho. Itās almost 8 years oldā¦
cdg1 server reached IND value of 40-55ms,
next season OW 2 will be a turn based card game ngl
Indeed, I donāt know how they can be pleased with that amount of players when Payday 2 is getting similar counts. TF2, a much older and less feature ridden game pulls in more players - albeit OW2 is shoddy, I imagine OW1 would pull in more players.
