Its standard to warm up before playing comp, it would be nice if you could create a offline lobby so I didn’t have to warm up with 150+ ms…
Wait what’s the big difference between warming up with 150+ ms or with 0 ms in your case?
You would have 150+ ms during comp games, too, wouldn’t you?
Practicing with the same latency would then allow you to get used to it.
There’s no such thing called “getting used to latency”. You can’t train yourself with ping. If you train yourself without the latency, then you can overcome the latency issue by playing with the skill you earned during that time. Even if you can’t see sh*t with high ping, decision making and game knowledge are still there.
I have sibling so i play at night, my connection is ok then. But I warm up slow so if there was a offline mode i could warm up without bad latency and without wasting time when my connection is actually good enough to play. There is really no reason to NOT add it so…
Ah, I see.
The bigger question is how to add it. When talking about offline matches, you could refer to local multiplayer or solo matches against AI.
Local Multiplayer would be difficult to execute and I doubt that the devs are planning to do that either. However, playing against AI would be much easier because it would only require your own computer to run the AI.
It’s called custom lobby
Solo against AI is what i had in mind.
High ping is still an issue in custom games, because it’s online. My friend has had so many issues trying to 1v1 me before on widow, every time he’d shoot me, it wouldn’t go through even though he HIT MY HEAD, he’d just get a blank hit marker, and his frames would drop so low, the same as when he plays comp or qp.
This is such a late response, I’m only just realising, but I’m only just seeing this.
