It is now the 6th day when I’m being matched up with the same bot, who’s been consequently reported by numerous players. Forum worth a shot?

Sad that you have to report a player for not being as good as you expect them to be.

Avoid as team mate will work dude.
in OW 1 there was originally a feature just called ‘Avoid Player’ where you could avoid anyone you didnt want to play with. This stopped all the toxic players and hackers from being able to ruin your game. Blizzard removed this for the report system which does nothing at all.
As much as I love this game, I am receiving a lot of hate (sometimes death threats) for not being as good as the rest of my team and when we lose I get all this hate because I was the worst player. I know that the matchmaking is not the greatest and that I am playing at a higher rank than I should be playing at, but I didn’t think for one minute that I would receive death threats for this. Lots of people are giving others hate for not being as good as them. Can you please do something to try and reduce this? Many thanks

im sorry to hear that. most people are just really toxic when you are under performing in team situations.

i think it is sad and pathetic too.
but i think the upside about playing overwatch 2 is that if you get better in the game. you can totally break them about under performing aswell. '‘if’ they are in the enemy team.
Whenever I hear such communication where one teammember is blaming the other that they suck, I always say “blame the rank system, not the player”.
Sure you can point out who the issue is but you really cannot get mad at the player for the rank system to put them there.

it IS bot, with enormous amount of accounts with the same nickname. He picks Torbjorn, runs forward, puts turrets and shoots forward. I also didn’t think that I need to mention that I know about “avoid as teammate” function which does not work in this case since, as I said, there are more than one account and my avoid list has “3” OLIVEKODOs and I still play with a new one. And to conclude this wall of garbage answers, I am not a skilled player, I’ve been playing for about a week. Only mode I’m playing (and where I see this bot) is unranked quick plays with any roles.

I don’t think anyone was being toxic here, just reacting to the onformation you gave. There wasn’t much context there so it’s normal to misunderstand things.
I once had a game in comp where the entire enemy team was bots. They barely got out of spawn with one or two staggering footsteps and just stood still for a moment before taking another step or two. And all of them had names with one or two letter differences from each other.
I reported all of them but so far no action has been taken, or at least i haven’t been informed.
this is not normal… right?

If happening, no it is very much not normal.
But I also think it isn’t normal because it didn’t happen like you’ve described. I suspect you got some players who weren’t as good as you’d hope and you’re calling them bots.
This was my first time seeing proper bot behaviour during ow2.
Last time i saw anything similar was a soldier a couple of years ago.
Either it was a bot or the dude suffered from terrible ping or just liked running into walls and shooting at them.

Honestly, if you have already reported them (i think you should report them in every game you have them in) the avoid as teammate option is the only way to get around them until something is done on blizzards end.
Playing at a slightly different time of day could also help in avoiding them if your avoid slots are already full.

Sadly, this is naming and shaming though. We cant do anything other than say things like “that’s very weird lol” but that sort of reaction is equally bot like.
If you’ve reported and avoided in game that’s all you can do.
Nothing seemed done (I have received a message that “action was taken based on my report” the next day, but it turns out there are endless accounts) and Open queue is simply unplayable, so I feel it’s important to bring it to a wider attention. WHOLE mode is unplayable, it’s just not right.
I’ve play hundreds of matches this season, and not seen anything like this.
What rank are you trying to play in??
