Ongoing Frame Drop Issues in Overwatch — Getting Worse Each Season

I think this issue has been around since the Stadium update, with frame drops in the Arsenal that were never fixed. Now the problem has spread across the entire game. I’m on an RTX 3060 laptop, and the performance keeps getting worse with every new season. It’s becoming harder and harder to play. I’m certain it’s an Overwatch issue — I did a fresh OS install, and when I first started playing years ago, this problem didn’t exist. Is this some kind of programmed obsolescence? Either way, whoever is supposed to be responsible for improving Overwatch’s performance (if that role even exists) should either be fired — or promoted if this decline was intentional.

Same issue here and it makes me beyond sad. This game used to run flawlessly on 600 FPS consistently with no stutters. Now all they do is break the game because stadium is probably a complete programming slop that’s leeching into the main game.

I can limit my render scale to 50% on a 7800X3D 7900XT and still get bottlenecked by something in the game.

Just had a game over the WE, where the GFX card simply got throttled back no heat build up nothing just 45°C and a nice 15 FPS. Team is asking me wth Im doing, Im apologizing profoundly for my technical problems. I played around with some OW video settings, like the reduced buffering on/off trick, nothing changed, then suddenly all back to normal.

Thinking that my card might be dying I run a bunch of benchmarks and try other games like Cyberpunk, Star Citizen, all smooth…

Could really be an OW incompatibilty with latest drivers or something.
