I’m just curious about people who have both tried the role queue and the open queue. How do your rankings compare? Personally I’ve been hard stuck in silver since the games release more or less (guess I just suck at this game lol), but in open queue I’m bordering on plat and feel like I could probably get there with some more playing. How different are the rankings in your experience?

I’ve never been out of gold, my highest is 2495. I’m currently at 2100s.
Played open queue, I’m low diamond. The weird thing is that most of the profiles I’ve snooped are also high plat/low diamond on role queue.
I have no problem playing in those games, it’s as if they were any everyday gold game.
The matchmaking is trash and the game is also trash.
The population in open queue is very very little so the ranks are ultra messed up.
Can’t bring myself to play open que any more.
Played a couple of matches, but it was just the old clown fiesta OW that I hated.
Personally I enjoy Open queue more than role queue. I like having the freedom to play whatever the match requires. It makes the game feels more varied. Although going into open queue to specifically play dps means you’re guaranteed to have at least 4 dps on your team… Then I’d rather just wait ten minutes for role queue.
I haven’t played open queue just yet, but I suspect the chances of the enemy team also running 4 dps or more are a lot higher than before role queue was introduced, since basically I don’t see many other reasons (except running goats or stuff like that) to even play open queue.
