I just spent an entire match blasting this character at point blank range with Reaper, criticals, and she ate every single shot like it was nothing all while killing my entire team over and over simply by holding fire endlessly and charging forward
Her Fortify ability is a joke. Almost every match I see an enemy Orisa single-handedly taking on 3-4 teammates with such confidence due to this ability. Sure she has counters, every heroes does to some degree, but her kit and overall design at base level is just broken and an eyesore to see on the battlefield with all of her abilities firing off like an out of control firework show
I used to love her kit and design on ow1, she had her place as a sentry and stood out in that role with such. I get that ow2 is faster with the 5v5 and perhaps the developers thought her rather immobile ow1 design would render her obsolete among other heroes but what we have right now, for me, is an Orisa that is far too chaotic and holds too much reign over confrontations

She’s been broken for a while now. Overpowered tank.

yep orissa is like that. Not only can it take alot of dmg without being bothered by it. It can make itself immune to cc like reinhardts charge and also stun others.
Orissa just can do too much of everything compared to other tanks.
Remember the demonlord event mode? Even a souped up reinhardt wich could destroy all other characters with ease couldnt even dent orissa if orissa had healers.

She’s even worse now. It’s ridiculous.
OVerwatch cannot properly balance tanks

Orisa is the most broken hero i’ve ever seen, it’s really detrimental to the game. Blizzard please get your damn act together

100%. Orisa is far too powerful at the moment

made worse now we have three healers:
illari, pocket mercy, healing pylon

I’ve been experiencing the absolute opposite of this; with the way armour is calculated now, I’m dying as Orisa (and D.Va) much faster than before. Of course, the fact that in most games we now have a healer who is trying to be a bunnyhopping sniper doesn’t help anyone’s survivability…
Basically, yes, Orisa is a fortress if she’s got both healers on her. That’s the whole idea. Kill or distract one healer, and she goes down like any other tank. Kill or distract both healers and she goes down faster than any other tank, since she’s such a big target with a huge critical hitbox.
If you’re pouring shot after shot into Orisa and she’s not dying, that should tip you off that you’re shooting the wrong target. Always—and I do mean always—get rid of a tank’s healers before you shoot the tank themselves. If you shoot the tank and they just get healed, all you’ve done is charged the enemy healers’ ultimates.

Yes, healers are there to heal the tank. This doesn’t speak to the fact that Orisa is fundamentally OP>
The biggest mistake for this game was going 5v5. They haven’t properly balanced it and so the tanks are either OP are utter trash. The game suffers because of this

Yep. Having 2 tanks balanced it out a lot more. And tanks were nowhere near as OP as they are now.
Smashing into massive bullet sponges just isn’t fun. Sigma with two shields, Ramattra with shields and block and endless ults, Hogg, Orisa. Just isn’t fun
Indeed, the move to 5v5 was terrible. The balancing was to be expected though, given the history of Overwatch, Blizzard have proven, and spectacularly proven that they lack the capability, the competency, and the knowledge, on how to balance.
Even with the move to Overwatch 2, it takes them weeks to remove a broken hero, but days to remove a defective hero that breaks the server.

I just played open queue vs an Orisa and rein, with Lucio and Kiriko as their healers, we lost easily. My team was competitive enough, it’s just Orisa was 7-0 within a minute due to mindlessly charging forward at my squishy teammates with endless pressure
I started as Sigma but the enemy rein beside their Orisa caused me to switch to rein too, to try and at least provide a shield for my team. I held well but Orisa was just eating up my teammates who were dps/supports, almost singlehandedly
She’s a problem. I don’t know about in competitive as I don’t play often, but in quickplay she rips through teams due to lack of coordination
I found a good counter to be Pharah if played carefully. Orisa players generally only look straight ahead so providing angles of attack from above can scramble her concentration
if you think wich tank should be able to keep itself alive the best you probably would think roadhog due to his healing or dva with calling a new mech.
But its orissa wich can go towards the enemy team alone get some kills and then leave barely taking any damage. It just can block about everthing. Orissa most of the time barely needs any healing, so the pockets are kind of unneeded on her anyway
If all tanks walked solo into an enemy team without an ana on either side, roadhog is the most likely to walk away from it. (Wrecking ball is a matter in his own right as going in and out is literally his job)
If we ask which tank is the fastest to kill the enemy team, then orisa is possibly one of the top candidates.
She is an actual tank now. The problem for me is tho, that they did not change the damage output. Tune down tanks damage and up their survivability. Dps is a joke now with tanks basically being dps with twice their life. Orisa is actually fine regarding her dmg tho. Kill the rest of their team and orisa is going down too.
It’s her survivability that’s the main problem.
