Overtime system is broken

Everytime there is overtime I feel like it is unfair and broken. The fact that you could control the point to 99% and that the enemy team could just “touch” the objective for an infinite amount of extra time. What makes this worse, is that if they manage to capture the point with 1min ovetime, the overtime for the other team is close to only 3 seconds.

With the introduction of hammond, this just got worse.
Hammond can easily just spin around on the point and generate overtime for minutes. Especially payload maps, where he can just grapple on to the payload and spin around.

What I hope they would change, is that overtime is limited. Maybe 1min, that would create a much fairer game in my opinion.
Thanks for listening to my feedback.

Edit: Mei’s abilities achieve the same thing as hammond can, but she is very slow to the point, so that makes it a little bit better.

fact that u use BOB as icon is unfair already.

What do you expect to make the game more interesting? It would be to ez, but nevertheless overtime usually refers to shortcomings from one team unless it was a dva ult teamwipe and someone keeping the point for them. Anyway I would say most of overtimes are loss for the one who are in it.

Almost always all you can do is stall with a strategy like that, delaying the inevitable. If your team lets Hammond spin for 2 minutes without killing him, you’re doing something wrong. Sure, they get extra time, but usually you will fight 6v2, then 6v1, maybe 6v3 if they get lucky. If you stay close to focused at all, that shouldn’t be an issue, especially since the opponent will have to hurry to the point, being vulnerable doing so.

Well I don’t think that.

Over overtime timer gets shorter after a while and, durin overtime, the respawn time of the defense team increases.

While Overtime gives the team a last chance, it isn’t forgiving when you mess up.
