Overwatch 2 experience ruined my gaming routine

I have been a loyal Overwatch player for almost 7 years now. I was and still am a proud defender of the game against people who say it’s a dead game.
You will therefore understand that you do not want to lose a player as valuable as me.
This is a warning message. If you let your game die like this (matchmaking and ranked system) I quit the game forever. I will never be afraid to speak my mind, especially when I see my game slowly dying. Now I can’t handle this situation.
You have been warned Blizz, don’ t disapoint me…

They’ve already said they are making small changes for season 3.

Current system is alright. You just ignore it, then every now and again the coloured badge and number might change. Other than that it is exactly the same as OW1.

It’s a great game, but it’s badly managed by the Blizzard team. The basic bugs they allowed to slip through into release day for instance where many people were ranked at Bronze 5 as an example shows their inability to properly quality assure the game, the terrible balancing of the heros that they still haven’t learnt how to control since the OW1 days, and how bad the matchmaker is at finding balanced skill levels (hopefully like they say, they’re reviewing this over the coming months).

They can’t even get their League to produce a basic revenue to support the Teams that compete within it.

Dying indeed. But hopefully they, or Microsoft, can turn it around…

There is a good chance now that that deal will be blocked. Too many people getting salty about it and pressuring governments.

“they said”, I’m tired of listening of Blizz announcement waiting for ACTION not SPEAKING.
F2P broke the game, they think with gold in their eyes. They knew the game was dead if they didn’t change something.

Agree, actions speak louder and all that jazz.

But, we either hold them to what they claim they’ll do, or live playing in blissful ignorance.

F2P hasn’t broken anything, it was the right move to make. They just need to stick to their word on a few things.

For now, player numbers are still pretty high. Over 2 million players a day.

So when is ow 2 its main feature going to launch? You know, the pve part. The whole reason why it got rebranded as a second game? RIght now its just a downgraded version of the first game

Later in the year, or so they claimed the other day.

My bet, around BlizzCon time (if it is happening this year).

Agreed, graphically it is actually a better game, and runs better. The scoreboard was a great addition I guess.

But the matchmaking part is amatuer at best in comparision to OW1. The team disparity in skill level is massive causing one-sided matches, and the ranking system seems to me to be a step back from what it was.

Degradation of the ranks is good - but I think it should only really happen to players who haven’t matchmaked for a while similiar to CS:GO.

The fact they haven’t released the PVE side as this game was advertised to have, even now, is barmy

Atleast ow 1 still kept a pretty hardcore player/fan base despite it not being that mainstream anymore. But ow 2 just fails on all fronts for everyone. worse gameplay and matchmaking scaring ow 1 fans away and the terrible monetization and its high prices makes it a terrible for f2p. Because nobody sane is going to cough up 20 bucks for a skin for a non mainstream game. Unless its a extremely loaded whale

Whilst I agree, the prices are a little high… Give then current number of active players, they really don’t need many of them to buy it to be making A LOT of money. And when you play, the amount of people in the “new” shop stuff… They are definitely making $$$$.

The only way those prices come down is if people stop buying, which seems unlikely because the sorts that buy this stuff, don’t actually care what message they are sending when they do it.

Matchmaking needs to be better on the game because its so hard to enjoy playing it when most of the time you’re either with a team who’s significantly better or worse and its not fair to the ow community.

I really enjoying getting into the game but it pisses me off so much. I’ve just played like five games back to back and we lost every one because matchmaking sucks.

I hope they sort it out next season :upside_down_face:

no matter the game whales always will be whaling. But i really dont see any normal person pay such high prices for a single skin

I honestly hope you are right.

Sadly I see a lot of the new stuff in my games, so I am looking forward to seeing the accounts when they get published to see how well its going.

Looks at this tough guy lol.

How about you just come up with a decent complaint?
