can anybody help me i started out at 1732 sr (i know it not wow high but i dont play everyday and i play mostlly for fun) but i dropped to bronze and 400 sr while i try my best and try to carry giving tips and asking for help,
but when i say something in chat either they dont listen or just dont react ot it like last game we got all killed by pharrah but i was the only one focussing her because she was at our spwan the rest just ran out and kept diyng
now i am not saying i am the greatest player there is but there has to be a reason to why i get in a team with the bad players and always get the good players against me and to be honest i get really angry by it its just not fun to play anymore
can someone explain to me how this MM works or why i even get bad players who arent willing to play like a team i even got multiple games where they just jumped of the map and we are fighting 5v6 and then they start saying that we suck you know how it is i play mainly tank and support i like to push and go in to get the secure but my team mostly stays behind or randomly go back to spawn (while everyone is going to the point)
even when i play with friends we still lose because of players who just dont play like a team.
is there something i am missing or something i dont understand is playing like a braindead idiot the new meta in this game
pls help me
If you dont play to improve and you dont play a lot how on earth do you think you could climb unless you buy a boost? People dont just magically improve, it takes time and right mindset.
Oh your one of those guys nvm. You wont improve before you get out of that mind set.

Yeah this is not how it works. The players on both teams are equally bad, that’s why they’re matched against eachother.
SR isn’t your score, it’s your skill rating. It’s not given or lost, it simply represents your skill on a scale of 0-5000. You have an SR of 400, which means you’re at the absolute bottom of the curve, and will be matched with equally bad players.
The only thing you can do is work on your own issues. The losses are just as much your fault as anybody elses. And no, shush, don’t say it, because you’re wrong. It’s not because of bad teammates. Or well, sure, but you are not better.
At 400, you don’t know the absolute fundamentals of the game. By learning them, you will get out of bronze. No matter how bad your teammates are, if you constantly perform better than the average player at your SR, you will climb.
For the fundamentals, as a quick and energetic package, go watch some Overanalyzed videos for the hero you like to play. Once you have those down, and have realized I’m in fact right when I say YOUR performance is keeping you back, watch Jayne.
Try to group with friends instead of letting the system create your group. Use the LFG system and invite every good/nice person into your friend list. And use this again to create a friend only group next time.
OW SR system forces you to play a lot.
If you don’t then don’t blame the MM.
The systems will try to make you win only like 50%
But if you are better then your current SR then you will gain more SR for a win then that you will loose on a lost.
Say you get +30 for a win and -20 for each lost and you win 50% of all matches. This means to get 1 rank higher(+500) you need to play at least 100 matches.
No, it doesn’t. It will try and match you with equally skilled opponents. That will lead to a 50% winrate, but it doesn’t try to enforce it.
If you have a higher winrate than 50% your skill is obviously higher than your SR indicates, and the SR will increase. That will lead to matching with players with a higher skill. Once your SR is representative of your skill, you will be facing equally skilled opponents, and then you will have a 50% winrate.
It doesn’t care about what your winrate is, it only cares about your skill.

If you belong to 500SR higher sure the system helps you to climb with the adjusted SR boosts but you will have easily over 50% win rate if you actually belong 500SR higher since you will have huge impact on games. I left one season without placing and I placed in high plat (I like 1 game away from master in the last season I played) and it didnt take me even close to 100 games to climb to master again. And it was after the change on the adjusted SR ratings so after diamond I didnt get that anymore.
Able to solo carry also depend a lot on luck.
If your team is completely crap, like you have 3 leavers and 2 troll players who only emote and die or are suiciding without doing any damage. You still can win?
Being good you still need some form of teamwork and a bit of help from the rest of the team. But in gold and probably also plat you have many players with problems. Will leave, run in solo all the time and your whole team keep tickling in etc…
I think since gold, plat and silver has most players. They all have a large range of different skilled players in them. I have seen very bad but also very good (mechanically ) players in gold. The max and min MMR in gold is probably like a 1500 instead of 500. A lot of players in these ranks play only like 10-20 competitive matches a season (like me). So their actual SR is way off then what they should be.
I think players who have a low silver MMR but are still in gold are matched and grouped (at least tried by the system) with other low silver MMR and gold SR. So their chance of winning is still 50%
And the same counts for the high MMR gold players.
Instead of only looking at the SR.
Higher ranks have lesser players so will not notice this system.
But players in silver/gold and plat will have this problem.
