Overwatch Download Speed Problem

Hiya, I am trying to redownload overwatch after probably around a year and a half of not playing it. I usually get around 5mb/s download speed on battle.net, I get it on steam too, im fine with it. But when trying to redownload overwatch, it started okay and normal but gotten to 10gb left and now the download speed keeps on dropping to either 0b/s, 1-30kb/s or 100ishkb/s. Ive tried restarting laptop, reloading the launcher, ive found a few forums online and tried some of their tips but I cant seem to get any fix for it. Anyone got any tips or help for me here? Ive been trying to download it for days but with this glitch or bug it just wont go far at all. Thanks.

also quick edit: I am on PC. My download speed works fine for steam, consistent at my regular 5mb/s. Just seems to be a problem with battle.net

during certain parts of the installation, the Battle.net client does not need to download anything, which is why it might look like the installation “stopped” for an unknown reason. The best thing to do is to just leave the window open and it’ll eventually continue.

Regardless, I would still check if you didn’t accidentally set up a network bandwidth limit. You can check that in your Battle.net settings under “Game Install / Update”.

If you’re 100% sure that the download is stuck and does not resume, please try deleting your cache and tools folder. That will begin the initialisation process from anew.

Thank you for the reply, I will give each of these a try and get back to you. I remember seeing something about the not needing to download anything part, so I had left it a couple hours while I just watched videos and it still didnt seem to change, so im not 100% sure, maybe i just didnt leave it long enough but ill try the cache and tools folder.

EDIT AFTER TRYING FOR A FEW DAYS:
After trying it on my days off, I still cant seem to get it to work. Cleared the folders so it restarts, etc. It just starts on 5MB and goes through around 4-5GB then goes down to the similar KB, multiple occasions ive waited 4 hours to 6 maybe even more on 1 day but it doesnt change or move. As well as since clearing the cache and tools folders, my battle.net agent seems to get stuck on ‘waking up’ now and again. Unsure what to do next…
