overwatch is a luck game.
win or lose is luck, you can give your life play the best you can
its luck if you will have a smurf on the other team, a mono dva in your team, a feeder in your team, a troll, or a person that just sucks
you cant get higher on your own unless you are a god.
I am not good at this game by any stretch of the imagination.
But I have gained 1500+ SR over the seasons.
You will always come across better players, players throwing, players just having bad games.
Luckily, if you play enough games the amount of games where the result is completely in your hand massively outweighs the weird games that seem to make no sense.
This week was rough one for me. Going 2-5 or 2-6 the days I played… Then this weekend I’ve gone 16-2. I can only blame myself, I played off tank during the week and clearly I just played badly. Back to main tank this weekend, played much better.
Team that plays the best wins the game. Be the better team.
Not so much a luck as enforced winrate. Smurfs are annoying but these aren’t a problem the lack of new players is. I can’t get out of bronze on this account due to the same reasons.
If you truely believe smurfs and a “forced win rate” is keeping you in bronze. Then good luck to you.
But that would fail to explain why I went from 495sr to my peak of just over 3.1k in a few seasons.
Judging from the number of posts you have I doubt that you want to hear anybody opinion. If you are truly interested in the truth, I asked a person with 4000 rating on how to climb out of bronze and he answered: You don’t, get another account. I did and I instantly calibrated to 3000rs yet my main is barely 1100, every time I win there is an arranged loss. I play much better than any bronze and silver and gold player. Don’t claim to be a pro, I just know my level well and it’s ain’t bronze.
If you were much better than them, you would be hard carrying and climbing.
There is no conspiracy.
With limited clip sizes of OW you don’t hard carry vs 6. I am pretty sure you are just making posts count because there is no way you hadn’t experienced the same stuff playing so many games.
??
If you are truly a 3k player… You should be able to completely dominate bronze games and clutch most fights and games. So the system is not holding you back on that account, you are.
I have played enough games (over 300 this season) to know I am at my level. And if I want to climb further I have to work on my game. This is how I got from bronze and leveled off at gold/plat, having briefly touched diamond.
So as I have said. If you really believe you are not bronze and I will happily believe what you say about your true rank. Then you need to carry games and get out of it.
True, you will occasionally meet the fun kids that derank accounts. Or play along side people that just haven’t got a clue. But that is the same in all ranks. The matchmaker isn’t doing that. The match maker does not know or even care what your “true” rank is. You have the SR… it matches you with people that have a similar SR number. That is all.
The way I understand 3k ain’t much.
True. Diamond is a weird rank where people think they are gods gift to the game, but don’t seem to get any higher… (just watching Flats (T500 tank streamer) on his DPS account, playing in diamond. The amount of people telling him what to do was insane)
But diamond players are miles and miles better than bronze players. Most of that is a mental thing. They simple think and act faster, so immediately the are getting more value from their cool downs. As an example.
Enforced? How so? Then why do people have different ranks?
I just play better than all bronze players, and probably gold (I can’t test the later). MM puts me to unwinnable games plain and simple. Then, after sufficient loses it puts enemies to unwinnable games, and I hardly even do anything in those, just automate and relax.
I had a smurf to help me once, and even he couldn’t do much against it though admittedly his level was incomparably better than mine.
I don’t know answers to everything. Facts are that bronze pool account for majority of players (you can say the same for silver and gold as it’;s pretty much extended bronze). I’ts much harder (but not impossible) to arrange games at higher srs.
I personally can get any account up to my main’s elo with relative ease. I’d find it really strange if I had good rng on 6 or even more accounts and bad on none of them
WonderGaming. Share a game code for one of your recent bronze games.
If you are so sure that you play better you should be hard carrying.
Exactly. The amount of people I know who thought they were better than their rank so bought a new account… Only to find it ended up in pretty much the exact same SR.
I tried it just to see what would happen… I placed 10SR off my main.
I can rank an alternative one but not my main. I feel it’s marked or tagged. I have several accounts and it feels competently different in respect how mm works. If you don’t provide it with sufficient data about yourself (i.e. only playing one hero) it’s relatively OK.
But if you were really good on one single hero…
Just play that hero on your bronze account and climb.
That is the idea behind sr it assigns you a sr and will keep you at that value. You can climb but only allowed to raise that much. I started few competitive games when I bought the game and I was pretty bad at the time. So basically it still enforces me the same sr from 2 years before.
Lol. So what you are saying is the game has decided you are not allowed to get out of bronze?
Madness.
Why don’t you contract Blizzard directly and ask them to take the block off your account?
Or is it quite possibly because you are not winning enough games…
