Probably been noticed by the majority, Just wanted to make a post and bring attention to the Gentle Toki Fuchsia skin for DVA being a reskin for the season 1 battle pass skin.
Not only that it costs more than the battle pass did itself, With or without the bundle.
(Not counting the 1000 coins bug, it has been fixed)
The only major difference being DVA herself, It feels like a lazy move from Overwatch to not make something stylistic for the collaboration instead of just pulling and reskinning a mech from the BP.
Made this to spark discussion cause this does not feel okay towards the consumers, Since going into a battle pass people have the expectations it wont be released again.
Re-releasing it and then making it more expensive than the original is disrespectful both towards those who got the BP back in season 1 and towards those who did not.
And this shows a bad precedent already as when we have a battlepass, If the skins don’t stay in that format, why have a battlepass at all.

I always expected the battlepass skins to end up in the shop eventually, because why wouldn’t they? Why not give people who weren’t around for that season a chanse to pay for them?
It’s just a way for them to get extra money.
Only the mythic skins won’t be re-sold (at least not yet)

I understand the sentiment but there are other games that do operate under the battle pass model and eventually do allow people to buy existing pass items and they do sell them for the price of the rarity that the item in question is labelled as.
If it will make them money then they’ll resell it, most companies would most likely do the same thing. However that being said I agree that it is lazy as it is just a recolour of an existing skin and to be completely honest the skin to me is an eyesore. I don’t agree with reselling these items but there’s nothing we can do about it, it’s blizzard’s decision unfortunately
Yes, I saw it and wondered why they recreated the same skin from Battle Pass only with a different color. the skins in the Battle pass are exclusive and they should only stay in the Battle pass and not sell them, and sell it expensive too, for 25 euros I’ll get another skin better than the DVA one, we’re all waiting for things from Blizzard . , they ruined Matchmaking, they canceled the PVE, they promised us a lot and offer us something else, I’m still waiting for them to solve the matchmaking, to solve the problems with the Smurfs, with the cheaters, with the deranking in the game, because they don’t interested. to solve problems, not to not offer a skin that was 10 euros in season 1. I own all the Battle passes from seasons 1 to 6, and I don’t think it’s ok to sell the skins from the Battle pass that were only in the Battle Pass , that way they will get to see the Mythical skins, and then I didn’t ask why you still have the battle system. Pass if you sell the skins from it.
You basically buy the battlepass to get everything for cheaper, to unlock the new hero immediately and to get the mythical skin.
So if you don’t really like the skins in the pass nor the mythical skin, there’s no point in buying the pass at all.
i reckon alot of people buy it to play the new hero so they dont have to grind for weeks to play the hero they came back to the game for.
Wich is why i think its absolutely bogus that the new heroes are hidden behind the battlepass. Especially since new heroes tend to be very strong when they just launch, so its basicly a p2w transaction until the hero gets balanced
I can’t believe people actually spend money on this game. I’ve seen countless amounts of people playing the new healer. It’s really not worth paying for imo.
Some people have actually already reached her on the free pass (i’m 5 levels away). So not all ilari’s are paid for, only the lama ones.
