Overwatch state of the game

I’ve been an Overwatch fan since day one, but I can’t take this anymore. The game feels completely gutted. I’ve been banned multiple times now—not for slurs or toxic behavior, just for in-game comments. The matchmaking system is an absolute disaster. I’m a tank, and I get paired with DPS players who can’t even break 1,000 damage while the other team steamrolls us. It feels rigged. Is there some hidden system designed to frustrate non-spenders like me into quitting? I don’t buy skins or cosmetics; I just play comp. And yet, it feels like the game is actively working against me.

Mechanically, I’m solid when I put in the time. I’m an old-school Quake 3 Arena and Unreal Tournament veteran, with actual tournament experience. Back in the day, aim could only carry you so far; game sense mattered. Now? It’s a circus. Disconnects, leavers, throwers—it’s endless chaos. I can drop double the damage of anyone in my lobby and still be stuck in Silver hell.

The ranking system is a joke. I’ll dominate a game, pull insane stats, and gain 20%. Next match, same performance, we lose, and I drop 21%. What kind of clown show is this? For four years, I’ve studied players like Dafran, Spilo, Wanted, Kephrii, and Proper. I know what good play looks like. This isn’t it.

Overwatch has the bones of a masterpiece. The core design is brilliant, but the ranked system? It’s a goddamn slot machine. Blizzard knows what they’re doing, hooking players with this 50/50 dopamine cycle. Why else would they force your rank to depend on four random teammates instead of rewarding your individual performance?

Smurfs? Fine, bring them on—I enjoy the challenge. But why am I stuck with teammates who are basically bots? Or people who still play on dial-up connections? The system feels intentionally punishing.

Someone needs to take this IP and do it justice. Blizzard clearly won’t.

Let me guess, comments like: ez, support diff, git gud,… It can happens being wrongly banned 1 time, but multiple times it really smells like an ‘you problem’.

Those games are +20y old, I suppose so you’re +30y old or even +40, without pratique is normal losing skills like reaction time/reflexes. I don’t know much time you play a day, but keep in mind that you’re playing with teens/young adults in the peak of those skills, they can easily play 10/16h day and they take 2000h in a hero only for learn that hero.
Also this is OW2, is not a simple FPS game where you get carried by a good aim.

50% cheaters. rest mix of throwers, OTP players, leavers, other players.

Can’t be that bad if you are playing enough to get the drives things

OW2 is the type of game where you can constantly be solo killing 4 people and your team will still find a way to lose the match.

That is because it is an objective based game. not a death match.
