Hi Blizzard team,
I’m a long-time Overwatch player and I’d love to bring attention to an issue that’s made the game almost unplayable for me lately. I use a hybrid input setup on PC — Xbox controller in my left hand (for movement) and mouse in my right hand (for aiming). This setup has always felt most natural to me and has helped me enjoy Overwatch for years.
Unfortunately, recent updates seem to have broken hybrid input support:
The game frequently switches between controller and keyboard UI, even with “Force Keyboard & Mouse UI” enabled.
This switching causes FPS drops, screen tearing, and input lag, especially when using just the left analog stick for movement.
Disabling the controller in Device Manager stops the lag, but then I can’t use my setup at all.
Third-party tools like reWASD or JoyToKey don’t fix the problem reliably and often introduce new issues or aren’t viable long-term.
I’m not asking for aim assist or competitive advantages — I just want to be able to move with my controller stick while aiming with my mouse without the game punishing me for it.
This setup used to work reasonably well in the past, and I know other players use hybrid input for accessibility or comfort reasons. Please consider restoring proper support or giving us a setting to force Overwatch into keyboard/mouse mode without disabling controller devices system-wide.
Thanks for your time and for all the hard work on Overwatch.
