so i have been playing comp recently and my internet has disconnected 3 times (2 in placement and 1 in normal).
long story short during the placement my internet crashed out then the game crashed forcing me to reset it even though the internet was back up it said rejoin game i pressed it and refused me to join back in following by a loss.
2nd on placement it was showing the “victory” screen and my web cut out doing the same as last time i received a loss because of it.
3rd case in game my web crashed out before the game even loaded into the select hero screen i got a 30 min suspension because of it
in all cases the internet crashed out and the client forced me to reset it
i do have video evidence of all cases.
there should be a way if you have video evidence that your web/client crashed that you can report it to revert the penalties
That still isn’t enough evidence though, you could edit it to make it look you were innocent. There is no way of knowing whether you did it on purpose or not which is why the punishment is there.
You really should of stopped playing comp after the second disconnect, you disrupted the games of the remaining players. Check/fix your computer before you play again.

I fully agree with you, today I got 2 disconects during games (and not just in a row, the 2nd one after fixing the internet, and several hours after), for one the client made me wait 1min before reconnecting, and in both cases I got back in the game before its end and both games were won, but still I lost 50 points twice.
I know it shouldn’t be easy for the game to make the difference between dc and leave (and yet, some people would just cut their internet to leave) but I don’t get personnally why I should receive a penalty for 1)having to wait for the client, 2)coming back in the game (maybe just lower it but) 3) winning the game
If we count around 20sr a victory, I’m now 140sr below where I should be
If you have connection issues you should look to fix this before queuing for competitive.
Blizzard can’t be blamed for your internet cutting out, and it doing so will lower the game experience for the remaining 11 players as well.
It’s not really fair to the other players, which is why the system will punish you when this is happening.
Although the victory screen disconnect still punishing you does seem too harsh.

It’s really not though, you could of orchestrated the entire thing. Besides you allowed it to happen 3 times, it doesn’t matter whether it was out of your control or not, you still effected all the other players in the match, don’t be selfish.

Why would any1 fake dc’s on stream though?
Because it can bring viewers, players can relate to disconnections. Streamers can be influential for many reasons. Besides if there was an internet dc then the streaming would stop as well, so the proof is kinda insufficient.
idk. if i’m watching a streamer who keeps disconnecting from the game i came to watch them play. I would probably be more inclined to stop watching. But that’s just me.
that is true. nobody would want to go to a stream to see the buffering wheel
OP, please don’t ever queue comp anymore with such a crap connection. Sincerely yours, the entire Overwatch community
I really hope you’ll get season banned so you can’t put up other people with this.
