Hi!
I don’t really have much knowledge when it comes to computers or laptops, so if you want certain information about my laptop let me know where to get that information and I’ll gladly provide it.
I have a NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M and a Lenovo Ideapad Z500. I know, not the best. Overwatch has been working great for me with rather low settings, and I never had any trouble when it came to launching Overwatch or playing the game itself.
A few days ago, however, I launched Overwatch like usual and suddenly the menu itself only had 20 FPS, while I usually have around 100 FPS - 120 FPS while playing.
When everything in the menu was loaded, the FPS suddenly dropped to 1 FPS. I went to options to see if anything changed there - and suddenly on top it said Overwatch was running through the Microsoft Basic Render Driver instead of my NVIDIA GeForce one.
I already looked it up and I tried the following:
- Re-install Overwatch
- Updated my NVIDIA Driver
- Went to the NVIDIA Control Panel > 3D Settings > Program Settings > Both Overwatch.exe and Battle. net.exe on High Performance NVIDIA Processor
- Went to Task Manager > Details and changed the priority for both Overwatch.exe and Battle. net.exe
I’m honestly lost right now. Any help would be great.
Thanks a lot in advance!
