Overwatch using wrong GPU (Dell G5 5587)

Hi there,

So I have a problem that only started recently (as in today) and I’m pretty confused about it.

Overwatch seems to always use the Integrated Graphics (Intel UHD Graphics 630) instead of the Nvidia Geforce 1060 Max-Q GPU.

It also starts on the wrong screen (Laptop Screen instead of external Monitor which is set to primary monitor in the settings).

Steps I tried to fix this:
-Reinstalling Overwatch (several times …)
-Setting the used GPU to the 1060 in the Nvidia Control Panel
-Launching the .exe with right click and “Run with graphics processor” and selecting the 1060 Max-Q
-Updating Nvidia and Intel Drivers
-Updating all drivers for my Laptop

Using a Dell G5 5587 with i5-8300H, 16GB Ram and the graphics combo mentioned above.

Any help or fix to this?

Hi Esdreika!

Can you check the Power management settings as mentioned here please? By configuring power management settings you should be able to confirm that this is not being caused by some power settings preventing the dedicated gaming card being used.

Checked the settings. Laptop is plugged in. No power saving enabled while plugged in.
