The hard drive for my computer recently crashed and I had to purchase a new one, in doing so I had to completely re-download Overwatch, however I encountered an issue in which the game will not finish downloading and is stuck at 3mb left with a visible and changing download speed, yet when I check my ethernet activity there is non shown while the Blizzard launcher says its downloading.
I have tried EVERYTHING across multiple forums and Blizzards own technical support suggestions, yet nothing has worked. (Pausing/unpausing download, deleting Blizzard launcher and Battlenet cache, reinstalling Overwatch(again), reinstalling Blizzard launcher, restarting my own computer, disabling all anti-virus(only windows defender since it is a new hard drive) , unplugging and replugging in my ethernet cable (I have a wired connection), scan/repair , new adminstrative user and there is probably more that I am missing out as well)
All my other Blizzard launcher games have downloaded fine and I can play without and issue (WoW), yet Overwatch refuses to download and I literally cannot play the game I paid for…
Hi.
Have you tried all the advice in this help article?
No, I will try now and get back to you
Thanks for the help!
Edit: Yeah I tried everything there, still nothing, my Windows Secondary Logon Service was off but turning it back on still didn’t help with the problem, I have no idea what to do…
Hello Raventooth,
Do you see an error message after some waiting, or the download is just “stuck”?
Could you please add a link to your MSInfo file? The instructions to create this file are available here; once you have it, please upload it to a hosting website (for example Pastebin) and add the link to your reply.
Note: you might need to highlight the link and use the </> option in order to send your reply.

Thanks for the reply, no error message just stuck. I’ll add the MSInfo now.

Here is the MSINFO: http://batman.gyptis.org/zerobin/?aaa57cecd2aca8d0#wIUysiT04ryaZdtyW7jYJsCQmwhNg7E8R+fIY3dp2js=
Thank you for sharing your file, Raventooth!
You already tried removing your security software and uninstalling the game downloaded so far and re-downloading it again, without any positive results, am I correct?
Could you please uninstall it again, create a new folder for it in C: (for example, GAMES) and try and download it there?
Please check also if the issue persists if you create a new admin account and use it to download and install Overwatch.

Hey, thanks for the reply, yeah I did disable my security and tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, still nothing.
I did manage to fix it though, I just copied Overwatch from a friend of mine and put it on my PC and located games and it worked. Thanks for the help though!
I’m happy to read this, thank you so much for this update!
Considering the solution that worked for you, it indeed could be an issue linked to your admin account. Should something similar happen again, try creating a new one and repeat the procedure using it.
Have a wonderful day!
